Have never understood the zero-sum perspective. I've seen win-win have big impact time and again.

I don't think he's *just* trolling either. I think that communicating to the public this absurd new government personnel requirement, via a tweet, is trolling.

Sorry, I don't see the relevance of your question. Did I say they're not going to do what they say they're going to do? (And btw fav/unfav ratings is something that matters to trump; it's a defense.)

Plus, why is he putting it in a tweet? He's trolling. It might not be such a bad thing though. It could drive fav ratings, etc., further downward.

I didn't mean pay the exact same individuals. I meant "them" as farmers. I suspect they would still be able to figure out who they want to pay off, between corporate farming, state government data, etc.

Much needed. Thank you!

And if the Donald treats him like Comey, he’ll insist that he find his own means home.

Will he pay them off again? I don’t want any one of us to suffer from our president’s ignorance. But preferential treatment for his voters would be troubling. How about “do no harm”?

JAGs are not political appointees, correct? Same as with other top DOD people just fired. Do they have no civil service protections or equivalent? Would it be up to these individuals to file a lawsuit?

Also, why is this congresswoman calling the gutting “unlawful” if the tactic is to gut via probationary employees?
comment in response to post
Well, good point. Thank you. Probationary is what they’re mainly doing *now,* in addition to having changed the probation period from 2yrs to 1 yr. Are those the only firings now? I don’t think they were for the first few agencies.
comment in response to post
If the firings are unlawful, why are they continuing *week after week*???? Why is no one explaining this? What happened to civil service protections?
comment in response to post
I certainly hope that the congressman ignores this ridiculous letter.

Who has the back-ups? Hopefully someone is holding onto them tightly, w/ a copy to surface eventually for the Archives or something. I know I’m fantasizing, but if I had access to any data system, I would be doing this.

Oh please. #NHL players, listen to the Canadians’ boos. They’re sincere and their expression is a heck of a lot more important than weasley manipulation by the pathological liar playing president. More important even than hockey!!!!!

First, let the judge tell the government that the dismissal must be with prejudice for him to release it.

All this for tax cuts?

5/ And Elon doesn't appear to know that states maintain death records, not the federal government. Nor does he acknowledge there are perfectly legit survivors' benefits being paid to the much younger widows of men who died a long, long time ago.
