I didn't do all of that this week, but I'm really happy with how it's turning out so far! (It's for a friend.)

Strep can present so weird! My daughter had it once and the only thing she told me was that her knees hurt?! And if you don't know what it is, you can't treat it and boom, scarlet fever.

This is what I just don't understand. Was Israel justified in responding to aggression and the murder of its people? Sure, of course. But we're not allowed to even ask whether their response was proportionate?

The songs were very forgettable and who were all those characters? Ah well. We saw it in theaters and going to the movies with my kids is fun so 🤷‍♀️

Ugh the night I had a gallbladder attack that landed me in the ER, I had a salad with rotisserie chicken for dinner. 🙄

Enjoy all the things! (Or, more precisely, enjoy all the things that you enjoy!)

Whoa! So much snow! (Also, I have that same ruler and it is one of my favorite craft-related possessions. Possibly one of my favorite possessions, period.)

My fifth grader is currently doing DARE at her school! In 2025! What exactly does he think he's inventing here?

I didn't believe it was real either, seemed like a photoshopped tweet. 😞

I've got a similar background, though I don't live there right now. My grandpa spent the majority of his career at NIH and my uncle works for NIST. They're just good jobs, and they were happy to be helping people, they're not greedy or rich?!

My husband just flew Delta today! (Thankfully I saw this story AFTER he landed.)

(he arrived safely! 🙌)

I loved Parks and Rec so much but I'm not sure I would be able to enjoy a full rewatch. It's just so hopeful about our potential to do good things together and honestly it just hurts to be reminded that that used to feel reasonable!

I've been somewhat morbidly comforting myself over the last few months with the thought that Augustine lived through the fall of Rome... The church has survived worse, and I'm clinging to that hope.

I kinda just want him to drive home (14ish hours) when he's done because I'm worried it's only going to get worse over the next few days.

My husband is flying today to deal with a family emergency and I definitely have never felt this worried about his safety while flying before.

We have a good friend who, after many years of underemployment and job insecurity FINALLY got a federal job a few years ago and he is struggling right now. It's just heartbreaking.

Ha, I wish I could! Putting that stuff together is literally one of my favorite things.

I just... No.

My main feeling these days is of helplessness. How can it be that all these bad things keep happening and no one is stopping them?

My son at 4 years old would sit and listen for hours as we read graphic novels to him. They were his gateway to reading! He's in third grade now and reads all kinds of stuff so this feels like a horrible idea.

I'm doing a hat now that has multiple colors but mostly only 2 at a time. I've done one row with 3 colors and was very 😵‍💫 but there's only one more row that has 3 colors so I'll allow it. 😅

It would require the other two branches of government actually stepping up and defending their turf. For instance, the judiciary would rule his actions unconstitutional, and if he still didn't listen, then Congress would impeach and remove him. Step one still feels somewhat likely, but step 2? Ha.

Whoa, you did three colors in one row? That's next level stuff! It's so hard to keep everything untangled and organized when you're working with three colors at once.

I remember feeling so shocked that someone had actually been so brazen in breaking the law. I guess it's good that I didn't know then where everything would go from there. My poor stressed out law school student brain couldn't have handled it.

If you lived near me I would absolutely be giving you some of the extra we have stashed in the medicine cabinet.

No! That's awful! My pediatrician gave me Zofran when my kid had an ear infection because it can make them nauseous. (Same when they had strep.) I can't believe this is not their first step!!

I've been thinking about starting a knitting or crafting club! If you do something like that, you could check and see if your local library hosts something.

I think I need to get off social media because I thought you were talking about getting blocked online until I got to the end of your sentence. 😅

He was my favorite! Such a loyal friend. ❤️

I used to hate those old-timey depictions of women climbing on a chair whenever they see a mouse, but then I saw a mouse in our kitchen and was startled to find myself standing on a chair?

I'm joining the choir at seminary! I haven't been in a choir since high school, but I'm excited to be part of creating beauty with other humans.

We did that same one! It was super fun, and our first Magic Puzzle. (Also our first 1000 piece!)

My then-5-year-old daughter started crying in the theater and cried for like 15 minutes of the ride home.
