I've never heard of a 16 year old scam where it was open sourced, non-government controlled, immutable, scalable, anonymous, digital asset maintained by nodes all around the world. When it becomes the base layer to all of money within the next 10 years, maybe that's when people will bother to learn.

You can't understand BTC without understanding money. People in the U.S. are largely ignorant of finances let alone, economics. If you try to talk macroeconomics and the M2 money supply, they shutdown. This is why I stopped trying to convince people, they will all get BTC at the price they deserve.

I don't fault the people who continue to throw out the word "ponzi" because thanks to both political parties since 2009, that's how they routinely attacked it. You can blame shitty Democrats largely for it. The only Democrat I felt that actually understood Bitcoin on any level was Barack Obama.

Start here and yes, it will take awhile to understand if you have no background in finance. casebitcoin.com/newbie

Bitcoin is an idiot and ego test rolled into one.
John Oliver summed it up best: "Bitcoin is everything people don't understand about computers, combined with everything they don't understand about money."

When someone asks me what BTC is, I start by having them visit this site (casebitcoin.com/newbie) and read over everything there first before I start explaining BTC and then subsequently, PoW vs PoS.

Crypto is not easy to understand and most people got their lessons about crypto from their politicians. Overall, unsurprising to see people still have this lack of understanding of how crypto (and by extension BTC) will serve the entirety of finance in the coming years.

You can tell them it's open protocol like tcp/ip and smtp, immutable, etcetera. You can tell them Obama thought BTC was like "having a Swiss bank account in your pocket" or that there's a disproportionate, large amount of trans that contribute to crypto and are supported but they won't hear it. SMH.

BTC's market cap is sitting at $832,956,362,047 with a spot ETF around the corner in the U.S...uh yeah, it's worth something alright.

What you'll mostly find are people who bash BTC but also have zero understanding of what blockchain is. They mostly parrot back nonsense from the Biden admin.
