She didn't know she was going to be on camera and played to Donald's ego to get help for Michigan, because the state doesn't have the resources to help a large swath of the population to get back on their feet. Many are without power until June.

I fall into Rod Serling's camp when he said something to the effect of keeping, at least, one of the camps up is a reminder of the horrors humans are capable of and it can, potentially, prevent a repeat of such horrors.
