Yoko Ono also wrote in 2011 that she chanted daimoku during an earthquake, while taking cover with her family. "I learned [daimoku] just by watching people around me recite it since I was young. It's like a kind of music, and even if you don't know the meaning, just reciting it calms your mind." 2/2

Ephesians 6 is a classic reference for spiritual warfare, deliverance prayers and other anti-demonic practices, so I'm confused why the author chose Ephesians 1:18-19.

the character recites it like this, omitting the beginning of the 18th verse: "聖徒たちがつぐべき神の国がいかに栄光に富んだものであるか、また、神の力強い活動によって働く力が、わたしたち信じる者にとって" and suddenly cuts off because the chant proves ineffective against an enemy that doesn't have ears

I couldn't find a single image of the Angular Arranger/Curved Array 勾陈 in beast form 神獸 on the internet, aside from very modern fanart. So if anyone knows anything, please let me know.

I'm looking it up now and this very specific style (from VIII - XIII century) exists in central europe in general, not only in the Czech Republic. One theory says it's an influence of the Byzantine Empire through their missionary activities in the region.

I personally don't find reaction gifs cringe, I'm just wondering out loud about what terri said. Personally, I use discord every day so my go-to reaction images are emotes (not to be confused with emoji), which don't exist on twitter or bluesky.

For me it always just feels like the person using them is Gen X. I didn't think that was a deliberate strategy to seem more "down with the kids", but I can totally see that being the case/appearing that way.
