Solidarity is a word we all need to lean into hard and fast. We need to embrace an ethos of sticking together. We all get out of this together or none of us do, there is no other way.

How come the moderates are never pushed left because of the overreach of the right? If using pronouns makes them run into the arms of the fash, why don’t nazi salutes cause them to go running toward, say, universal health care? Publicly funded higher ed?

My man @chriswarcraft.bsky.social is a real one and has been for a long fucking time. Hero.

Mr Spock always had emotions. So did Data. So does every autistic person you've ever met.

If the Democrats can't demonstrate that the power of the state can be used to rein in people like Elon Musk and Donald Trump there's really no reason to ever vote for them again.

This is a salient and accurate historical analysis. I guess I might quibble and say we have always been “off the rails” what with the slavery and all. This was just the last (only?) really good chance to switch tracks.

If you saw a person losing a game of chess to a dog, over and over, you would assume the person is losing intentionally, that they are losing on purpose. Probably to make money selling tickets to see the amazing chess playing dog. Anyway, the dems

learn about the Black Panther Party free breakfast program learn about the Zapatista uprising learn about Jane learn about the Kensington Welfare Rights Union learn about STAR learn about Act Up learn about the Battle of Blair Mountain learn about the Spanish Civil War we are not the first

Saying once again that Caitlyn Jenner can't "forfeit" her rights as a trans woman no matter how egregious her actions are, because rights are not earned. As long as cis people get to set a "bare minimum" standard for trans people before you respect our rights, we can never be free or held as equal.

I find a lot of Leopards Ate My Face talk distasteful and unempathetic in light of the amount of propaganda that we are inundated with in this country. But, when the brain geniuses, whose giant brains entitle them to run our lives, say shit like this I must yell “WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?”

I would simply warm up and repair the hallelujah.

Just reading up on history so I can learn whether “let’s all be reasonable” is usually a winning response to coups

For anyone in the "What do you want them to do?" crowd. The article brings up the extremely recent example of South Korea. Where's that energy?

Before the ownership class decides to go this route, they might want to study what happened to the ownership class that originally led to the creation of the NLRB. I’ll give you a hint - it involved bombs and private houses burning down. The NLRB is the compromise to protect owners *too*.

This. You can’t abandon a community to slaughter and then demand they show up to protect you. It is ghoulish and racist to respond to what is happening right now with “thanks, Dearborn.” Stop.

Loving the liberals urging me to take the same actions I would for an unpopular zoning measure in response to the fascist takeover of the US. I’m sorry, if my congressperson can’t be assed to fight fascism without my urging, I don’t suspect a phone call that they pay interns to take will work

Spend time doing shit like this rather than begging your congress person to have a shred of humanity. They have their job specifically because they don't.

Another great way to resist is Don’t Don’t center resistance , center competence and effectiveness I’m feeding kids/ clothing folks/ securing communications translating Build structures Not focused on being oppositional

Louder for the people in the back! There is no such thing as non political content. There is merely content that has politics that pas through your biases or challenge them. Politics is literally what happens when one person interacts with another and any decision is made. Dope thread too

Oh wow. Talk about P:TR coded. @jasonsheridan.bsky.social

Mentioned that I grew up with the idiom "Eat your food, they're starving in China" as a means of explaining why Americans might have misapprehensions about China. Like 10 people have now lectured to me about the Great Leap Forward and why it was bad. In detail. Sick. Not the point. Don't care.
