This month’s second grade science lab lesson is on habitats. We are doing nature walks around the school. I was showing them a spot where Mediterranean Geckos have been laying eggs under a planter box. This is only the second time we’ve seen the adult gecko there. They were so excited.

@lukelukeluke.bsky.social I teach at a school with just 2nd and 3rd graders. Our courtyard stays pretty dry.. 3rd grade is in their ecosystems unit and some had the misunderstanding that mushrooms are the only fungi. I found some in the courtyard but I wish it was a moister area with more variety.
