New project. This is for a drone to help our students learn about drones and potential career fields using drones. Even fire fighters are using them to help check out fires. PLS RP. bit.ly/HS720Eye @bonhanson.bsky.social @craignewmark.bsky.social @wkamaubell.bsky.social @stephencolbert.bsky.social

Our Crush and Run and gone and run away. We have been working to cover it with mulch. We've laid 100 bags of mulch. The latest 60 bags were funded through @DonorsChoose. Check out our progress.

Wow,. someone in Massachusetts just finished off our project for mulch. That is enough to take us about 2/3rds of the way on the old dilapidated crush and run. Thank you everyone for the support.

Harvested the last of the garlic and gave it to the school district chefs. This was after letting my garden club kids take one if they wanted it.

This is our random sunflower in our school garden. I kept meaning to transplant it but didn’t. It’s in with the sage. It’s nearing 10 feet. Full bloom

We recently got a @DonorsChoose project funded to replace rotted wood in our large butterfly garden. We went to work today to complete the project. There’s just a bit more to do probably tomorrow.

Kima loves joining me in the school garden.

They keep trying to top my most bizarre school dismissal. Today was wild. I’m fine if it never gets worse than today.

So. My Library Media Specialist asked me this morning if we had ducks in the courtyard. I was like not that I’ve seen. She said the crows were going nuts. So we went exploring. She was very well hidden in the oregano.

Good morning.

My adult daughter has been up in her room hacking a lung up. She came downstairs momentarily. To get something to eat. I asked her about urgent care and she’s like it’s just a head cold. Made her take an at home Covid test. It’s positive. Crap. Told her to stay in her room.

We’ve spread a total of 40 bags of mulch, 2 cubic feet of mulch per bag. The garden club spread the first 20 bags. Myself and a volunteer spread 20 more bags today. Hopefully another 40 bags next week. The crush and run is six years old and just grows weeds.

On Wednesday I attended a recognition banquet sponsored by the district PTA recognizing each school’s Volunteer of the Year and announcing the district VOYs. This is Carol. She’s been with our garden club for 10 years. Thank you Carol.

We got a surprise donation in the mail today for our school garden. I’m floored.

Our last 3rd Grade Science lab lesson for the school year is a look at point and nonpoint source pollution and how it affects our watershed and water supply.

Our project to replace rotted lumber in our school butterfly garden has funded.

Today’s paddle.

I moved over to Bluesky because it seemed like a lot of educators were. I understand and agree about the climate on Twitter. But I still get seen and far more interaction on Twitter from other like minded educators on there than here.

This month’s 2nd grade lesson is focused on learning about pollinators and their job. The students build a robotic be flying and pausing over a flower. All made from Legos.

Our @donorschoose.bsky.social project for a portable power station just funded. Thank you all.

Our sprinklers and hoses for our school garden has funded. Thank you all.

It’s Easter. Happy Easter everyone. It’s also last day of spring break. Back to work tomorrow. One last piece of fun before going back.
