I used the Coolpix P520 because it's the only camera I own with a tilting screen, and I obviously wanted to see what I was doing with myself. The shots I have look... fine, I guess? But the backgrounds just look super cluttered.

How do I feel? Very positively!

Not gonna lie, I didn't assume Donald Trump thinks it's essential for Ukraine to exist.

If you're getting a sense of déjà-vu over this - don't worry, you're not going loopy. I just needed to make some colour edits.

In formal contexts, all of the rules you would expect apply in the circumstance absolutely would on both ends, and I therefore think typing in lowercase reflects a form of register: we're chill, there are no rules, we can express ourselves more fluidly, if you will.

This is nothing new. In all of my informal text communications as a Gen Z man, I'd be the odd one out by using full SPAG. Maybe it's the autism. I don't know. But this has been a dynamic amongst all of my peers for years. Hell, Millennial textspeak probably laid the groundwork.

I have a post where my autocorrect changed "doomscrolling" to "rooms rolling" and I despair I've never been able to change that. 😭 /ex

Yeah! And it just makes the internet all the more sucky! Hell, I doubt these articles are even being written by a real person anymore.

Are we *only* doing journalism for clicks now?

I quite like the idea that this photo could represent how small we are, as individuals, in the grand scheme of things. It's a nice play on perspective.

So what's the solution? Er… dismantle the structural inequalities that disabled people face and encourage folks to unlearn the ableist attitudes they may have picked up, I guess? And how we will do that? Honestly, no clue. But you folks who are more intelligent than me can suggest ideas.

And I realised: because I internalised all of this crap, it made me feel less worthy of being loved. And that's something that most of us want to find in our lives, you know? I'm robbing myself of my own humanity because I'm so caught up in what people think or might think.

Just yesterday, I was volunteering at an arts event, and I… admittedly spent half of it flirting with one of my colleagues – #AutisticRizz. But I worry that if she saw how I struggle, she wouldn't want anything to do with me.

We live in a society that is still so unforgiving of people with invisible disabilities, despite all of the progress we've made. Hell, even the process for claiming PIP is still so dehumanising. It's harder to keep hold of my pride because I think so much about how people perceive me.

When I found it hard to relate to other people as a kid, I found community on Roblox. The internet has so much potential to unite people again; I despair that oligarchs are using it as a tool through which they intend to divide.

Oh, they sent a dog to space in 1958! That's so cute! She's still alive, right? Please tell me she's still alive!

I mean… it was only three years ago when Norway decided to send in a song about wolves eating bananas.

To be fair, it has been a while for me. Fingers crossed it's better than 2023 or so.

It was actually a really beautiful picture, demonstrating - in my mind - that even in the harshest conditions, some plants still grow; some love still blooms. The sitters (or indeed, cuddlers), Sergej and Claudia, alone against a world that is harsh and brutal. Now that's romantic. [🧵 3/3]

My favourite out of all of them, and my vote for the People's Pick, was Lovers, Leipzig, 2023, by Kovi Konowiecki: a wide angle shot of a young couple cuddled together on a sea of dirt, surrounded by hedgerows. [🧵 2/3]

Maybe so, but it seems pretty cheap from what I've seen around, so that works for my requirements! 😅

I suppose there have been two warring Benidorm Fest factions here: those who have wanted to see a traditional Spanish-type entry, and those who have wanted Spain to send this year's Eurovision pop diva. I think they very happily meet in the middle here.

I so wanted to use Kodak ColorPlus: I was going for retro vibes and I really wanted the yellow and red tones to come out well here - and they did! But the ISO was too low for it to perform well with the unpredictable and fast-moving puppets. Lesson learnt: this type of thing calls for some UltraMax.
