And for #28, which is in no particular order btw, I'd pick Quake. It's a game that stuck with me for a very long time and I remember being fascinated by the "hub world" it had, even though it's very simplistic.
Used to play the hell out of it, still do on occasion.

Speaking of series... Ratchet and Clank, of which there are too many to choose from. So I'm picking the very first one, which I only have one screenshot to pick, and the most recent title they had, Rift Apart, of which I have none.
The OG trilogy is pretty cool, I'd think, and I loved Rift Apart.

Speaking of Sony franchises, what about the entire Parappa/Lammy trilogy? Grew up playing the demo for Parappa 2, then got Parappa 1 on PSP, and then played Lammy eventually.
I honestly think Lammy's the best out of the lot but 2 has its moments, so does 1.
No screenshots, so it's boxart time.

Can I cheat and shove the entire Patapon series into here as one package? No? Okay.
Patapon is one of my favorite series, all three of them are pure peak! 2's my absolute favorite though, and I'll never forget how Sony fucked it up for the PS4 remaster by removing multiplayer.
Sigh...

Oh, speaking of Sonic: How could I forget about the most notable Sonic fangame in existence?
SRB2 really has come a long way since the early days... Got a big ol' modding community, even has a few games forked from it! Like SRB2Kart! And Ring Racers!
It's amazing what the Doom engine can do, tbh.

And on that note... Sonic Adventure 2 is another game I think about on occasion, although I guess recency bias might be real since I just played City Escape in Sonic x Shadow Generations.
I enjoy the campy nature of the adventure-era Sonic and, of course, the Chao Garden absolutely must come back..

And going from a cute-as-heck platformer to one that gives you severe anxiety: Pizza Tower.
It was so good that I 100%'d it twice, once as Peppino, once as The Noise. I would not recommend doing that, I nearly lost my marbles...
Which may be the intent the dev was going for... hmm...

And going back to platformers for a bit:
A Hat in Time has stuck with me, mostly because of how fun it was playing through it, and how much charm it's got in its world and characters.
I still need to go back through this game on the Deck...

SPEAKING OF, how could I forget Unreal Tournament ('99) and its proper sequel 2004?
You know, the game that's part of a series that has been all but deleted from existence by Epic Games and they never really released UT3's f2p remaster?
Yeah.
UT99 fucks HARD. So does UT2K4, albeit not AS hard.

And, of course, Team Fortress 2, one of the pinnacles of team-based arena shooters I've ever played. I... got no screenshots on me atm so you're going to have to have my random screenshots I took while testing it on the Steam Deck, sorry.
It is just very memorable.

And while we're on FPS games...
How the fuck did I get this far without mentioning Half-Life? Played the hell out of the first game when I was younger, even played through Blue Shift and Opposing Force.
This screenshot is from the now-defunct Source version, mostly because it's kinda funny lol

Next wave:
Cruelty Squad. It is a game that looks like complete ass. Everything is ass. But it wraps around to being unironically good. Helps that the gameplay felt great too.
My favorite song from its OST is clearly Sewage (Bog Business's level music). :)

And finally, for now, I'll point to Super Lesbian Animal RPG. Got it as a gift one christmas, played the whole way through, loved it. Melody is a good bean, Allison is great, Claire is wonderful, and Jodie's pretty cool.
It's definitely stuck with me for being a good story-driven game.

And, on that topic, a racing game that, at first, didn't sit right with me until I learned the ins and outs of it: Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers!
I was highly anticipating this and it eventually delivered. It's great, go check it out. I even made a Kieue for it, check this vid out: ⚠loud noise warning

Oh, and I'd also be kind of lying if I didn't mention Toontown in some capacity. More specifically, Toontown Corporate Clash. I don't play it much, if at all, these days but my time with it was real fun.
Really good modernization of a very old game.
Screenies are from my testing it on Steam Deck.

Oh, almost forgot about the other funny goat game: Pseudoregalia.
Look, I see pretty goat lady, I buy and play the game, okay? The lack of them was also partly why I made an OC who is a goat girl (no, it's not the idiot in my PFP, they're different).
Also the game's good. Platforming's good.

And speaking of moons, how about moon remix rpg adventure? Heard that tobyfox was inspired by this and was excited when they released it on Switch back then.
It was a wonderful experience the whole way through, and so it's stuck with me the same way Undertale had.

And OneShot used to be made in RPG Maker, which segues into this: To The Moon.
I just... really liked the story to this one. The quirks that River had was real nice and whole overarching story is great.
...I should probably the rest of this dev's games someday.

And while we're at it: OneShot. I'm grabbing these images from image searching and Steam btw and fishing up screenshots where I can find them.
OneShot was great, I actually streamed a whole playthrough of it once! Yeah, imagine that, me, a streamer. Ha ha. Very funny joke.
Niko is a good bean!

Oh, and these two! Undertale (and by extension, Deltarune) did a lot for me. Truth be told, it made me like goats more (although I liked them goobers before). Call me basic all you like.
Also, I've never truly done a "Genocide" route for Undertale. Got partway through the Ruins and just... stopped.

Oh, can't forget about these two either: Diddy Kong Racing. Banjo-Kazooie. Good games for the N64 while I was growing up.
I actually used to be afraid of the bridge to Gruntilda's Lair, believe it or not, so I'd usually spend time running around Spiral Mountain way back when.
How times change...

Look, I'd be lying to myself and others if I didn't include this:
Plok! for the SNES. The game that more people should know and I'm kind of glad it's picked up more traction.
It's one of the few games that's stuck with me for god knows what reason.

I will say, I dislike social media and I hate the effect it's had on my mental health, so maybe removing one toxic gas cloud from my life will help ease things a lot. If you need me, I'll be on Tumblr and Cohost.
I'll remember to stop by whenever I can. See you.
