Very interesting interview with a Salvadoran journalist on @revealnews.org suggesting Trump agreed to send Bukele certain MS-13 members to help the dictator cover up a deal he made with them before his last election. Immigration was a central reason the US pandemic recovery was better than other countries. Population has increased both because of immigrants arriving and because they’re having kids — native members of a group called “Americans.” On the other hand, though: racism.

Exactly. My Chinese wife (not in the clean energy field) commented on the excellent, affordable EVs she saw there on a recent visit, with charging stations everywhere. And Chinese allies like Pakistan benefit from their cheap solar panels. Jobs are great but a livable climate would be nice too.
