THREAD: The Trump administration's DOJ has removed a study from the NIJ website that found that immigrants, and particularly undocumented immigrants, commit crimes at significantly lower rates than U.S. citizens. The study is at odds with the Trump regime's propaganda about immigrants & crime. (1)

Marco Rubio just announced 10 more people were sent to be imprisoned in CECOT. They were flown there from Gitmo to be imprisoned potentially for life based not on any crime for which they were convicted, but on unproven allegations of gang membership with no due process. This is not lawful.

They’re *this close* to full Maoism.

In recent weeks, the number of people travelling from Europe to the U.S has plummeted — by as much as 35%. The sharp decline in tourism is a direct response to Trump’s punishing policies — including tariffs and the horrific treatment of immigrants and foreigners.

Sanders: Instead of spending $1 trillion a year on the military, let’s build 5 million units of low income and affordable housing..

Crazy crowd of 35,000 at the AOC & Bernie Sanders rally in LA. 😳👏 #FightOligarchy

Trump: "The world respects America again" The world:

Q: I take that to mean you are not on board with trying to find “common ground” with Trump... A: @dananessel.bsky.social: "Common ground in destroying our federal system of government? His actions are antithetical to everything I've worked my entire life to support."

“The reporter from MyPillow asked the White House press secretary why the president looks so healthy and robust” is a true sentence that exists in our current reality.

EEOC agrees to drop pending enforcement letters against law firms that pledged major dollars to Trump "pro bono" fund. We now live in a country where making a payment to the ruler's slush fund lets you buy your way out of regulatory difficulty.

@kaine.senate.gov @markwarner.bsky.social Why the hell are you STILL voting to approve Trump nominees as if everything is normal and we’re in some sort of bipartisan lovefest? Have you not noticed that he is treating anyone not on his side as an enemy to be destroyed? www.senate.gov/legislative/...

Interesting thread on the potential silver linings of America at least temporarily getting the hell out of the way of climate progress that the rest of the world cares way more about.

So a no-bid exclusive communications deal benefiting the billionaire who bought the White House and continues to pull strings across the government? No “efficiencies” to see here, just blatant corruption and kleptocracy.

#TrumpTariffs #TrumpMarketCrash

3 days ago RFK Jr. told the CDC to stop recommending water fluoridation, claiming it was a neurotoxin (this is a lie). Turns out he also just eliminated the CDC’s entire Lead Program, and now lead poisoned children in Milwaukee are just on their own. Lead IS a neurotoxin and harms brain development

Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not. An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

Trump thugs putting immigrants in the “dead” category of the Social Security system, committing what @martinomalley.bsky.social calls “digital murder.” With immigration as with federal workers, they are pushing their minions to meet quotas without giving a damn about the human impact.

Judge Xinis is not playing: "Defendants’ act of sending Garcia to El Salvador was wholly illegal from the moment it happened...the Defendants’ suggestion that they need time to meaningfully review a four-page Order that reaffirms this basic principle blinks at reality"

Of the 24 items on this aisle at Costco, mostly appliances and housewares, 22 are made in China With the new 145% tariff on our side alone, these products could now cost nearly 2.5x what you would have paid before #TrumpTariffs 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hey, @schumer.senate.gov :: you better not be playing cute with your language about stopping the SAVE Act. I hope you intend to VOTE NO ON CLOTURE, as opposed to what you did with the CR when you told us you'd vote no on the bill, but still voted YES on cloture. We are in no mood for games.

The Roberts Court, for once, did what it was supposed to do in a unanimous ruling telling Trump to try to bring back Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the man the administration said they accidentally sent to an overseas gulag for life. We are in a very dangerous moment. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

Democrats aren’t backing down — they’re doubling down. They just added 5 new dates to the People’s Town Hall series because apparently MAGA Republicans would rather hide behind Fox News than face real Americans. They’re scared of questions. Dems are showing up with answers. Let’s 👏🏾 freaking 👏 go👏🏻

I'll give 2/3 cheers for SCOTUS in upholding the rule of law in Abrego Garcia. Adopting Sotomayor's statement affirming the lawlessness of removal would have been much better. But no noted dissents from order requiring meaningful judicial review is a good start. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

The 10% tariff alone is a $2500 per household annual tax hike!

When the head of ICE starts talking about how great it would be to have Amazon Prime for shipping human beings to a concentration camp in El Salvador that no one ever leaves, you’ve gone way past “it could never happen here.”
