This world is hard enough as is; let's just help each other get by.
Unless you're a MAGA, a Hamas fellator, or some other species of garbage person. Then you deserve whatever this world can do to you.

They WERE wrong though, if they voted for Trump. They knew what he was about They approved of the shabby lies because they were comfortable, and anyway Trump was going to hurt other people.
Don't try to rub Neosporin on their wounds if they voted for Trump. Brine will cleanse the wounds far better.

Seriously, that Jamie S. Bowen has racked up quite a death toll with this cracker jamboree. Jamie could strike again at any time. None of us are safe!

It was white people and pretty much only white people who didn't feel Harris "met the moment". What does that tell you?

Pretty good article. My take on it is, Burns loved the comfortable conciliatory narrative that it was all just a Big Tiff and we got over it. He didn't want to face the very different philosophies that motivated the two sides by the end of the war.

I was blessed with mostly good teachers. I think the worst was one who taught that the Civil War was about states rights, but it was the mid 80s, and that was coming into vogue as the "educated" answer. Five years later, Ken Burns would be shoving it down our throats. Can I just say, fuck Ken Burns?

Dick Grayson and Ben Grimm, the emotional hearts of their respective universes, everything that's best about them.
A six-issue miniseries, each issue showing them at parallel moments in their careers.
They first meet when a visiting Robin "saves" the Yancy Street kids from a big angry monster.

Like, I will gladly retire to that nature preserve. I'll build a little hut out of back issues of Computer Shopper, and probably never leave.

Can you make it a nature preserve for GenXers? "If you look in that tree you can see Eddie Vedder picking nits out of Brad Roberts' fur. And over by the stream you can spot a group of GenXers making their weekly trek to Borders Books & Music. Speaking of Trek, listen as they debate Troi vs Guinan."

I take a dim view of voters who are laser-focused on issues that matter to them, because at some level that's kind of selfish. But holy fuck, these people can't even manage that much. They can't even laser focus on themselves; about all they know is Trump's smug self-assuredness resonates with them.

Most stupidity is voluntary: it's more comfortable to be lazy or hateful.
Being intelligent is no bar whatsoever to being stupid.

I am convinced that most of these shitheads could pass eighth grade civics class; their problem is that they are Karens who demand to be served by government without doing their share.

Hey fuckwit, which party has majorities in the House and the Senate? Maybe, just maybe, the amount of pressure Democrats can exert from inside the chamber is limited because you garbage people couldn't bring yourselves to vote in November. Now's the time for you to finally stand up to Republicans.

I would make a terrible business person too. Not all of us are cut out for it.
There are worse character failings than generosity of spirit and wanting art to exist as something other than a commodity.

Well, seeing as most of what's happening is executive branch, where there are no Democrats, he's a fucking idiot.

You are insane and I love it.
Out of curiosity, what happens if you dangle a cracker over a giant bowl of chicken noodle soup?

It's true, we have the option to not stick our necks out, so we usually don't.
I admit I wonder what happens when I'm in that position, where I have to choose between the right and wrong thing, but the right thing jeopardizes my future. We all like to think we'd be heroic, but I am as yet untested.

Did y'all holler when Bernie went on HIS book tour and missed votes? No. Speaker Jefferies is missing nothing. He will be there when he's needed. Same people likely who dressed up and pretended to be Palestinian.

Trump is indeed running government like a business.
Which is something like running a doctor's office like a delicatessen.

I mean, in the most abstract sense, he's not wrong, IF you can guarantee a dictator who never ever does a bad thing. But it takes a goddamn child with no understanding of history, politics, or human nature to believe that's a reasonable expectation.
I bet the fucker didn't even vote.

Go protest some Republicans, you cowards.
... you ARE cowards, you know that, right? You so completely reject the option of standing up to the Republicans (because they might not be polite back), it no longer occurs to you to blame anyone but Democrats.
Y'all are weak, spineless, and worthless.

BTW, if I had to design a Supergirl costume that "couldn't" be subject to objectification - or at least would be resistant - I might consider something akin to Rogue's late 80s look. Black leotard, loose-fitting costume on top. Just a thought if you're ever looking to experiment.

This looks really good! And, I very much like that you're keeping the midriff tasteful; there are artists (mostly male) who take that sort of thing in the wrong direction, but you're handling it properly.

I'm going to show you a Very Special Episode of "The Hogan Family" from about 1990 that addresses unconscious racism better than almost all TV today. How is that possible? The boys are on their way to an anti-apartheid rally and turn racist at 16:05:

Yep, I think we imprinted on Reagan like ducklings, and then we really internalized from the violent urban crime wave of the 80s / 90s that "those people (and you know who I mean) are a threat".
And every damn cop show of the 90s / 00s reinforced the message that racist asshole cops are heroes.

To make a long story short here Kamala Harris is the most qualified person to ever run for the office of Presidency in the history of this country and white folks overwhelmingly chose a Nazi. Dassit.
