I may have just bought some, a few, perhaps even a lot of final fantasy mtg cards. I don't particularly like wizards, but I deserve a little treat in times like these. Chocobos enhance the efficacy of existing antidepressants, right?

hypernormalisation

The biggest thing we need to do is let people know that the protests are FUN. Yelling fuck the man is fun. You will meet fun people. We also need to make them more fun. Bring grills like the French. Bring instruments like it’s Mardi Gras. Give people a reason to spend their weekend in the streets.

Hrmmmm

i have publishing questions for anyone who knows: i'm sure it varies but is there a general timeline with paper books for the final edit being locked in, it going to the printer, and it being available for purchase?

#HorrorWritersChat Life could use a bit more whimsy. What's more whimsical than the mutation of the usual into the uncanny, the consensual pushing of boundaries, the strange, the exciting? Horror contains a multitude, always changing, always evolving. What's not to love?

#HorrorWritersChat Huh. As like a real real person? Or... I'm thinking a shadow, it's body corporeal yet not. Within its frame swirl endless possibilities, gaseous eddies trapping the eye and mind within. Mostly caught from the corner of my eye, in my home, out in public. They'd be friendly though.

#HorrorWritersChat Hrmm... A very tattered blanket (I'm cold blooded, I need the warmth and it surely holds some of my essence at this point). An assortment of baked goods such as muffins and scones. A dusty dvd of Spirited Away just in case I need some comfort after my 100 years of afterlife.

#HorrorWritersChat I'm Matt and I'm working on hopefully the final draft of my premiere novel. Forged in the fires of seeing Star Trek First Contact far too young, Matt now seeks to subject the world to uncomfy body horror, the subversion of self, and all manner of psychological trauma.

The rehearsal is truly one of the most baffling, thought provoking shoes on television now. Is it an evil psych experiment? yes. Is there an earnest attempt to do good? I think so. Is it autistic representation? Maybe? Good representation? I don't know.

one thing I respect about medieval beekeepers is their total commitment to looking like Doctor Who villains

F it, I'm feeling a burst of resolve and confidence. As I edit the back third of my book, I'm starting to think it's actually pretty good. I want to pitch to agents this year. Anyone have any tips on where to start, strategies that have worked well or not so well, and things to keep in mind?
