Many news stories about Texas Republicans' voucher scheme contain deceptive information. The $10k does not go to "families." It can only go to a private school. Other "qualified" education expenses could supposedly be paid with some of the money. But, 1/9

Robert F Kennedy Jr most likely caught his brain worm by eating raw or undercooked pork. Mammal meat can contain tapeworm eggs, so it must be cooked. Thankfully, our ancestors figured this out over a million years ago! As our new Secretary of Health, RFK Jr has not encouraged us to eat raw pork. 1/3

30-degree temperatures again next week. My small greenhouse is doing ok. Already harvesting broccoli, spinach, lettuce. Four additional tomato seedlings big enough to put in the ground. As soon as February ends. #SouthTexas

Yup. If the President can unilaterally stop Congressional appropriations, then we're past any 'guardrails.' Congress is now an advisory body; it does not control the power of the purse.
