My hot take on the Ofsted stuff is that, if you had a well-funded system with lots of extra people, it would help drive school improvement (and *could* reduce stress). As the system currently stands: I’m concerned it’ll drown people in workload.

Since the election 16,400 who have no right to be in the UK have been removed, including 2500 foreign criminals. The government set a target to increase this number back to 2018 levels and have now smashed that number by restarting asylum processing, redeploying 1000 staff & using charter flights.

The deal to bring 36,000 forces homes back into public ownership has been completed by the government. The properties were purchased for considerably less than their current value and the deal saves the tax payer £600,000 a day renting back these properties from the previous owner.
