My best guess is that hosting video is expensive and most people are probably watching on YouTube anyway. The numbers probably didn’t make it worth it for Apple.

Been getting a few of these a week for months now.

My favorite is when they have everything locked up and you need to find an employee to unlock it for you, and they give you an attitude like you’re the one who locked everything up.

Great, now I feel old

What’s your username? I’ll invite you to my server.

Confirming that I do have the pronoun field on my paid Google Workspace account, but my pronouns seem to have been removed.

I’m starting to believe there’s no such thing

Love it! I think I’ve got what I need but feel free to keep streaming.

Hell yeah! Looks good on my end. Everything stable on yours?

Can you try converting it to a different quality? I want to load test hardware transcoding.

Now I see you!

Are you sure you’re streaming off my server? I don’t see you in my dashboard.

Awesome! If you don’t mind leaving a stream running for a bit so I can grab some data, that would be rad.

Try it now, I think I fixed it.

It might be broken right now. Stand by.

I just sent you an invite (assuming your plex username is mcflynnthm) - can you try streaming something from my library? Ideally using transcoding.

Yeah. I’m trying not to take it personally but I really loved working with that artist and I’m just… crushed 😞

Yeah I’m still in Philly. And I really don’t know. But I just got passed over for a tour with an artist I’ve worked with for a few years because they wanted someone LA based 😢

So frustrating. The same thing happened in Toronto (I think?) with “raccoon proof” garbage bins. There’s a really good 99PI episode about it.

I have a very similar trash can with a very similar looking chunk chewed out of the corner by squirrels so I’d put my money on that being rats.

I got 0 severance after just shy of 9 years. Companies don’t give a fuck about us.

Oh no! 😥

I appreciate you 💜

It’s making me second guess my decision to leave tech last year to focus on audio full time. Maybe I just need to go to bed.

Like I really thought this artist was going to be one I would work with long term and really grow with. And I’m having a hard time not feeling disposable.

Big goals. I like it.

When that day comes, hit me up.

OOPS forgot to respond to this. My rates are flexible (especially when it comes to other LGBTQ+ artists) but imagine the travel costs would make this non-viable for you for one offs for now.

It’s a lot of fun

Right?

It’s like the writers found out it’s getting canceled mid season so now they’re trying to wrap everything up quickly
