BREAKING: Police just surrounded Rev. William Barber, prominent activist and pastor, as he and others prayed in the U.S. Capitol Rontunda. Police then expelled everyone (including press!) from the Rotunda to (presumably) arrest them. I've covered protests here a lot. Never seen anything like it.

This is much the same logic as arresting the judge in WI. There is obviously nothing wrong with asking law enforcement, including masked officials, to confirm they are, in fact, law enforcement. The goal is to create an absolutely subservient population.

I'd add also that if you are a Black parent, PLEASE teach your children to say NOTHING to the cops. It's so important. I can't tell you how many times I had to go to a local precinct to support a young person who did not heed this. It ALWAYS turned out terribly.
