We have a whole political party and a series of tv/radio networks that sell bullshit for $

Hurting people is the only thing he’s good at

Both are true!

Thank you Anthony Kennedy/Citizens United… just opened the flood gates so corruption like this isn’t a problem, just part of a news cycle:(

Yes! Why are they described like new laws? Now we even have people attending the ‘signings’ as if this is some achievement. Treat it like what it is - a to do list that may or may not get done

I think he just knows the talking points- close the DOE- and never bother to look at the purpose or functions they perform. Less departments = less costs. A basic lack of critical thinking skill

Dewine has his moments….but then it’s like he falls asleep again and is fully back in Trumpland. I don’t get it, he’s not running for anything else. He should be the most free Republican out there to oppose Trump

We’re never going to quite be there - because if we were there, you would have to do something. Schumer is no different than the ‘concerned’ Susan Collins

Screaming man seems like the kind of good, thoughtful person you want to have as deputy chief of staff. Or could just put a toddler in charge and let them throw fits. Same results

Leadership to solve the current problems cannot be provided by the same leaders who helped create a system that allowed this situation to develop in the first place. They cannot see their complicity, so they have nothing new to offer

What Dems don’t do is stop them, they don’t oppose the Republicans, just wait for the next election and hope we survive till then
comment in response to post
We should stop calling them Democratic ‘Leadership’, they don’t lead on anything. More conservative than conservatives. This is why people don’t trust or want to support Dems. They aren’t going anywhere, just hiding and waiting for …nothing

Sure glad Garland spent the last 4 years ‘returning norms to the DOJ’ instead of aggressively prosecuting Trump for the coup - otherwise I’d be worried about stuff like this

Phrase from Dem leaders I can’t stand anymore. “We can all agree….” No! We cannot agree. Do not give away your argument by ‘finding common ground’. There is no common ground with a criminal enterprise. There is only against, and what you offer that is better.
comment in response to post
Agreed. People are tired of having to protest, give us something to hope for

And they should run them NOW. Don’t save it for an election that may never happen. Messaging now matters more

I expect him to demand aid to Russia tomorrow night. Probably try to do it by executive order

Stop working so hard to ‘get back to normal’ or defend the way things were. They are breaking the system, no going back. We need vision for a way forward. Assume DEI is gone, how do you lead into our values for a new day instead of wasting time on old fights?

At least we are clear about all the people Russia owns. Bezos is just another oligarch under Putins thumb

Hannity must be starting to get FOMO - no job for me?!

This was always about rich people not wanting to pay taxes

Is anyone ‘employed’ at DOGE? How do we get access to their data? Or is the whole ‘department’ just an extension of the emperor has no clothes presidency?
comment in response to post
Speak up! Act up! Join a court case, don’t act like this is normal or will pass. Stop relying on the next election to course correct - bc next election may never happen
comment in response to post
Yes. When you say ‘DOGE is saving $’ you imply they found wasteful or corrupt spending. But, that is not the case! Demand the evidence of waste/corruption before crediting them with saving anything

How does President Musk get ‘Line Item veto power’. I remember this being rejected years ago. Even worse, there is no option to override a veto.
comment in response to post
Musk is the only one in charge. The other guy is just his ‘special friend’
comment in response to post
Amen. Make them say they oppose being fair; prefer to exclude; reject anyone different from them. That’s what they are proud of when they are ‘against DEI’
comment in response to post
Agree. Should be a daily national Democratic response dramatic enough that it forces network coverage every day

‘partisan divide’ makes it sound like a two sided problem. Most of the ‘divide’ is created by one side parroting Trump. It’s an ‘irrationalist divide’ - why do we invite people living outside reality to weigh in?
comment in response to post
Maybe we should stop polling republicans since their replies assume Trump is always right

What difference does winning in court make if we have to rely on Kash Patel to enforce court orders? We need an enforcement plan and judges need to be part of it, otherwise they’ll just ignore court orders
