think I’m taking the over for now, the dangerous thing about Bessent is how willing he is to go along with Trump’s life and help fabricate a mythical economic reality. It’s quite astounding. But even he’s starting to crack a bit, if this goes fully south he’ll do it anyways.

when this is the average Republican online these days, we have completely lost the plot. only once the destruction of these checks & balances and his destructive policies affect everyone (not just to “own the libs”) is when they’ll realize they’re fucked. but it’ll be far too late.

not a single bit of sympathy at all. you voted for this because you thought that DEI and government cuts only applied to black people

spot on right here. if Dems have any hope of beating back conservatives in the near-to-mid term, they have to win guys like him over. once guys like him start waking up and realizing they’re getting the rug pulled under them is when this cognitive dissonance half the country has will be lifted.

it’s like we’re seeing this realignment of who deserves to be uplifted and humanized versus those who don’t and I strongly believe this plays into the way they would like to rewrite historical narratives (making it very hard to change later on.)

I had a similar thought but on the opposite end and am curious to hear your thoughts. I noticed a lot of Ghibli-fied images of Nazi Germany/Hitler which I thought humanizes them (despite his well-documented atrocities) in the eyes of some, distracting from the aforementioned atrocities committed.

Let there be unlimited Q&A. If the recipients are in red areas, have it there. Those local Republicans would have to respond.
