We will win under Arteta, if & only if, KSE invest to win a title. they have only shown that they are willing to invest to the point of top4. The last two windows are strike 1 & 2. If this summer is a failure then it’s strike 3 and we will know 💯 that they only care for their wallets

Have to disagree They are 💯 a good team. But they are walking to the easiest title in a decade hitting the 99th percentile outcome on everything. They won this without ever facing any real challenge Like 2016 with Leicester, it’s a league that was lost by others, not won by the champion

So true. Feels like in the space of 8 months (June ‘24-Jan’25) nearly 3 years of progress was destroyed or is pending destruction without huge investment & change in approach.

It’s tough for us to accept but when January closed without signings and Kai got injured we entered into a top4 battle. We will be very lucky to just hold on to CL spot. If teams below us suddenly get a burst of form we could be in EL next year very easily

If anything it shows how bad they are that the ref got it wrong in the first place. It was clear without any replays that it was a red card. They had to break their own rules just to avoid another embarrassingly wrong decision

We gift wrapped for them & sent it overnight mail with a love letter They’ve just won the easiest title in 20 years.

Honesty don’t blame the players. They knew the season was over and they’re playing like it. They were shit today but they’ve been playing nonstop because of our transfer failures. I blame two useless billionaires for not doing what was obviously required last summer and this January

I’m sorry but it’s not dying. It’s dead It started dying with the Martinelli injury. It died the second Kai got injured We couldn’t beat WHU at home. No amount of pomp will enable us to even beat PSV

Correct

Bingo, it was pure fantasy and hopium Our season ended when we lost both Martinelli and Havertz No one wants to admit it but we are closer to having to battle to stay in top 4 than challenging

As the saying goes: a lie repeated often enough becomes truth. So what started out small, snowballed over 2-3 decades of misinformed voter causing extreme outcomes leading to more misinformed and more extremes. Admittedly, I have no solution. So am not really adding much value.

While I concede it’s probable not 💯 the root cause, our very electoral system enables a self reinforcing process that pushes toward the extremes in that culture war. Once those extremes have sufficient clout, they can become active drivers, via a broken media system, of misinformation.

Interesting point re: the uninformed world view. I might ask why, in a free country, that should be the case? IMO, and I’m definitely open to being wrong here, it’s a result of 20+ years of “us v them” culture war that discourages critical thinking and empathy

Sorry about the typos Hopefully that helps answer the question

IMO our electoral system is the problem. Unfortunately it’s the core of the republic as a “system” I don’t see a way to breaking the cycle of extremes without rebalancing our electoral process
comment in response to post
raises an interesting question: why are voters the problem? IMO that comes back to the systems. We have an electoral system that magnifies extremism via gerrymandering. This then is amplified by a media system that allows every to have a voice but no system to block lies or create accountability

To clarify I’m not saying they’ve never weighed in to politics, it’s just rare. Because historically, left or right, most presidents have cared about peaceful transition of power and have understood the negative consequences of a former president taking a public position.

They’ll engage in philanthropy but, historically rare for them to wade directly into current affairs. Of course those norms were defied by Trump but as usual with Democrats that are playing by a rule book that has been burned.

Historically, US presidents go silent on purely political topics. The idea is to avoid conflicts of interest like a general who takes orders from former Pres., rather than current. Also avoids the problem on internet stage of “who is speaking for the US?”

In a word, no Our injury list will prevent it Polar opposites of last year when we can back healthy This year we came back from Dubai in worse shape than when we left.

I will say I’m not an expert in football accounting or UK financial reporting & I’m only going off your screen shots. so I may be wrong but I don’t read that the same way you are

Couple things: 1- thats not a balance sheet, it’s an income statement aka P&L 2- it’s not cash flow 3- generally amortization is a non-cash charge that is added back if you want to get to cash flow

Unfortunately that think piece must be preceded by a think piece about what is required content for the think piece that saves the world. And of course the the think piece that proposes the optimal times for the meetings about the think piece based on brainwave analysis pre/post lunch break.

Unfortunately the people he’s talking to stopped paying attention in their history/civics courses 5 mins after the 1st day of class. And because they’ve spent their life thinking education is evil and learning about other cultures is devil worship, they’ll never know they’re being lied to
