Interesting, I guess you got into systems stuff later then? Could be worth revisiting. Well, I say that having not really used it yet myself.. after writing some stuff to get the hang of the language I'm gonna attempt to port a small C++ codebase and do a write-up on it later if sumn cool crops up

I thought so, but the weird thing is the R515 and R715 are from the same generation but only the R515 is black. I'm guessing it might have something to do with the R515 being "lower end" or something. Need those big bourgeoisie bucks if you want the gray paint instead of black.

One thing I have discovered at least is that the standard R515 faceplates fit the 12th gen systems just fine, so I might just stockpile those and use ‘em for the machines with black sides (or ears? they aren’t exactly like rack ears though)
