It's Commander...but color identity doesn't matter and you can play multiples. Why not just make it a box league then? It's a neat enough idea, but Commander increasingly dominating every facet of the game really is frustrating. Sealed leagues can be a cool way to generate interest in standard.

My (wildly uneducated) opinion is that it's 2. If you need to experience every possibility to learn, that's not learning or knowing. That's a brute force attack to build a glorified flowsheet.

Tired at work today because I stayed up too late finishing the game last night. Incredible stuff, it hit so many personal sweet spots. First game I've actually played to completion in a while. Looking forward to finding the last few badges and petals via the fortune teller to see what I missed.

They were by no means invincible, but I loved hearing stories of the card people would draft and play only that and basic lands. Pack Rat and 39 Swamps or Lost In the Woods and 45 Forests.

I like that you always have at least a 30% chance of being right as to how he would react just by guessing "crying, seemingly at random".

Magic designing cards with Commander in mind was the worst thing for the format. It was a fun way to play all the cards that were unplayable elsewhere, now it's just another format. Weird to watch it become the driving force behind card prices over time.

How was it "crazy upon release"? It was in the very first set; there was really no baseline to compare it to.

Is it still called a "votey" or is that only a term for the oldheads? :p

May I also ask what you think of reasonable Un-cards being played in Commander? I started playing EDH after being pitched that it was a "goofy" format for all the things not viable in "real" Magic so I've always been cool with them.

How do you feel about "conceding at sorcery speed" to prevent denying triggers? I always thought it sounded reasonable, but also not necessary unless you're playing with dicks.

If you're not somehow manipulating your roll and just rolling it honestly, the odds are the same. Every number has a 1 in 20 chance of showing up.

I like to imagine those videos are similar to no-hit runs where if they accidentally talk while recording they have to start all over.

I'm aware of both and done watching you plead with people to please think of the poor bigots. It's disgusting and pathetic. Grow a fucking spine and stop making excuses for such hateful people.

They weren't hypnotised, they chose to engage with and believe in bullshit that supported their existing bigotry. The propaganda didn't create them, they were just great targets for it because they were already pieces of shit. Stop making excuses for grown adults.

It doesn't say 10% of Americans. It's says 10% of Americans who itemize their deductions, which is only about 10% of taxpayers. So it helps 1%, not 10%. Mostly the richest 1% with expensive homes that qualify for the credit.

You do realize that Sky broadcasts in multiple European countries as does Fox News, don't you? Pretending bad journalism is a problem unique to the US is choosing to wear blinders.

Oh get off your high horse, Sky News and other trash like it exist as well. Fox News is far from some American anomaly of sensationilism and propaganda masquerading as news and it was founded by an Australian. Don't pretend america's problems are isolated.

I think they specifically used the term "Chinaman" because despite David Carradine looking like David Carradine, he's regularly called "Chinaman" by strangers throughout the series to remind you that he's supposed to be Asian in the late 1800's American west.

Do AI currently perform social engineering attacks? I wonder if those become more common and people learn to detect them if it will make human social engineering attempts more successful. The idea that people might develop a bias of "Well it doesn't seem to be AI so it's probably legitimate."

Rank is irrelevant for refusing illegal orders, that's kind of the whole idea. If a colonel commands a private to do something that will directly lead to deaths and mass property damage, that private can and should refuse.

I'd rather see what I loved about Magic just be replaced in one tell swoop than limp along giving perpetual false hope that the next one might feel like Magic again. I think Foundations was mostly the end for me.

I'm not a fan of Beyond sets, but I'd almost prefer they stop with in-universe sets at this point. Most of the recent ones feel less like actual Magic sets than most Beyond sets anyways. Beyond sets at least have actual story and lore; sets like Atherdrift are just a new season of Fortnite skins.
