Good outcome. It was a BS case (like all the cases Sydney Trains brings against the unions).

I can only tell my age from my memories because my sister wasn't born yet (she was born just before I turned 4). One of them is the night she was born, so I know the exact date of that one, which means the other one was before that.

This government is a joke, I can’t believe they are going down this road. Pay your employees a living wage!

What I am hoping is that all those kids who were going to shoot up their school see this & think, 'Maybe an evil CEO instead'. I mean that if they are going to kill people, they may as well make it to people who are not innocent. Plus, it would be a little more complicated to pull off.

By the way, sticking your head out of a moving train results in getting whacked in the head by trees. Not fun.

My spelling is awful when I write between stations. Apologies.

Sounds very similar to today, but perhaps a faster timeframe (aided by media?)

The only potential downside I see to Biden giving blanket pardons is that someone may have committed a crime. Like, a random DOJ person who worked with Smith gets one, but they were violent at home. Biden needs to be VERY careful, check on everyone, and exclude violent crimes.

2/2 My ideas for demands:
1. DC is a State immediately2. Supreme Court reforms
3. PR gets a vote in 2025 to decide if they become a state; if they vote 50%+1 yes, then they become a state by the end of 2025.

Cockroaches are attracted to heat. It's a hot day, so they probably came out for it.

Unless I've misunderstood, she is only talking about tariffs on the US, not the entire world. If the US puts tariffs on Mexico, they should be able to do the same back.
Mexico's top imports from the US are refined petroleum, motor vehicles, and petroleum gas. They can easily obtain these elsewhere.

Retaliation tariffs are a pretty standard reaction.

Biden just needs to pardon everyone that his entire team can think of.

Come election time people won’t be so uniformed and you have a bunch of already made ads to play again.
Here is longer format of what I mean.

They throw out big numbers without giving any context. For example, a Ban on using Kronos. All that means is we don't tap on or tap off. Most of us use paper timesheets anyway, so it won't affect anything other than triple-checking what is on the timesheet.

The actions... The entire point of industrial action is to make things difficult for management. NOTHING on this list would have prevented trains from running. Hell, most wouldn't have much effect at all other than annoying paper pushers.

And the union always said they wouldn't require trains to run on lines with maintenance planned.

Intercity was already moved from NSW Trains to Sydney Trains mid-year. I also imagine that they will keep the branding of NSW Trains for the Regional Network (formerly Countrylink), and it is more about removing all the duplicated back office roles and executives.

It really wouldn't have been that difficult if they (ST Management) put a modicum of effort into planning for it (they had notice)
