I enjoyed fountain pens so much. I still use them daily
Cursive was officially taught in 3rd grade.
Taught myself Palmer cursive in 2nd from some booklets my parents got for me.

Also learned The Palmer Method of cursive writing, because my dad was from Iowa and it was taught to him/his siblings. All of them had beautiful handwriting.

I now use all cap block lettering when I write now!

We learned once and never revisited, and only the lower case letters
I can read it my writing is half cursive half not- generally flowy lol

It seems like a lot of people might just accept the words someone else suggested without reviewing definitions they aren't sure of. It might be helpful to define those things for them to be sure they understand what they are asking you.
Schools here in NC stopped teaching grammar & parts of speech years ago. I had to teach my kids both, along with how to write properly.
