totally agree with you that stories are important but the issue here is the tone and language of the request. same inquiry could have been done with far more respect and dignity. further up the chain you'll see a better approach (by a Reuters reporter).

To be clear, that doesn't mean resigning was the right move, either strategically or morally, but I'm just trying to identify the strategy they are pursuing.

There are two other attorneys who apparently agree to have their names listed on the document, but that's my interpretation of the language in paragraphs 4, 5, and 6.

The language of the motion puts all the judgment calls squarely on Acting Deputy Attorney Bove. It repeatedly refers to his decisions and his beliefs, implicitly suggesting the motion is not necessarily supported by the other attnys' own opinions or exercises of prosecutorial discretion.

What you WILL find in courthouses across the country is that MILLIONS of people are getting sued for medical debt they can't pay - the debt collection industry is another dirty business lpeproject.org/blog/race-an...

That sounds great. Would you be comfortable sharing your syllabus, or the relevant part of it? I'd be interested in adopting something similar for AI use on essays (and happy to credit you if you'd like).

I like the idea of putting it in the rubric, so you go beyond the all-or-nothing result of punish vs. ignore. Do you share the rubric with the students (either in advance in syllabus, or otherwise)?
