You can absolutely find it but it’s surely not the chaotic amusement park of yore

Now an Asian American woman is mayor, fixing bus lines and dropping the violent crime rate to a 60 year low, and suddenly it’s a HELLHOLE and she should be ARRESTED for DESTROYING a city that was obviously so much greater when it was mostly parking lots and the murder rate was almost 6x as high. Can’t believe the police were handing those out

That would be a hilarious development, they are low-hanging fruit. The greatest angle of malice I can think of is to provide them the veneer of justice served, then declare the case baseless or slap them on the wrist, and release them into the wild.

I for one cannot wait for stagflation to return just as my career is launching.

A middle-aged, white, able-bodied, small business and second home in Florida-owning man who hasn’t been to church in 20 years, paid to put all his kids through college, and still has a significant nest egg will see this, look me dead in the eyes, and say “I’m the one under attack here.”

I keep having to be reminded that panicking, spiraling, or shutting down can't help. If I can be present and collected for me and mine - taking my meds, going to the gym, planning a date, staying informed but not overloading on constant feeds - then I can be effective, and take meaningful action.

Using the B Line "stations" at the western end of Beacon is truly not for the faint of heart, with cars going 50mph just 2 ft. and a curb away from waiting commuters. I try to avoid, but am always thinking about it. Also wow I'm surrounded by a bunch of cool urbanist people and didn't even know it??
