It’s been a good day! #standupforscience

Thirty-eight of 43 experts cut last month from the boards that review the science and research that happens in laboratories at the National Institutes of Health are female, Black or Hispanic, according to an analysis by the chairs of a dozen of the boards.

On today’s edition of “What lives rent-free in my head…” 😆 #singalong #bonjovi

Think: Who benefits from this? #FollowTheMoney #StandUpForScience

77 million people voted for deregulation (Trump). Did they know they were also voting for pollution, cancer, and climate chaos loved ones and future generations? We can now be poisoned on purpose—without a check.

If we want culture to thrive, not just survive, it’s on all of us now.

Saw this coming… #BrainDrain #StandUpForScience

Cantwell: "You're telling us in your testimony you want a tariff on semiconductors. I'm saying that the last administration and this organization here passed the CHIPS and Science Act so we could reshore semiconductors. You're not going to win the innovation economy by tariffing semiconductors."

Federal judge says she will temporarily block billions in health funding cuts to states

The NIH has made headlines for terminating grants and delaying peer review. But there’s another, less visible way the agency is disrupting science: It’s quietly removing some grant applications from review for the indefinite future. chroni.cl/4leEu8z

Science, research, and services aren't just a spigot you can turn on and off. It could take years, even decades to undo this damage depending on how long it continues for.

Murkowski!! 💪

The assault on American museums continues. This is disgusting.

23andMe filed for bankruptcy in federal court last week. As a result, the company and its assets are being put up for auction - and any data still retained by the company could be sold to a new entity for unknown purposes. Take action now to permanently delete all your data and close your account.

Today I lost an NIH grant training clinicians to do research about intimate partner violence with perinatal women. More women are murdered in the perinatal period than die of obstetric complications. I didn't just lose a grant. We lost an entire cohort of people building careers to prevent that.

URGENT: take a moment to stand up for US #museums by contacting your federal elected officials and ask them to protect #IMLS. Please share

It was a truly great day to engage with science as part of #standupforscience2025 ! #ScienceForAll

It’s a great day to visit your local science museum! (And if you’re in Vermont, this one is offering free admission today!) #StandUpForScience2025 #ScienceNotSilence #ScienceForAll #vermont

Trump's reckless decision to target the Department of Education has nothing to do with lowering the federal deficit and everything to do with dismantling the institutions that help lift families out of poverty.

#standupforscience2025 calls on policymakers, institutions and the scientific community to uphold the integrity of science by securing and expanding scientific funding, and ending censorship and political interference in science. #ScienceNotSilence #ScienceForAll

“It’s extremely alarming that grants that have been vetted by the scientific community and deemed important and impactful to understand the world are now being cancelled because of political ideology,” says Lisa Fazio, a cognitive psychologist at Vanderbilt University, who studies misinformation.

Can’t make it to a rally? Visit your local science museum this Friday! #StandUpForScience2025 #ScienceNotSilence #ScienceForAll

It’s a war on science.

More illegal withholding of federal funding that was approved by Congress.

NOAA’s 301 billion weather forecasts every year reach 96% of American households. From tornado, hurricane and flood warnings and to deep freeze and extreme heat advisories, NOAA’s scientists, alerts and programs save lives. Cuts to this agency are indefensible. #sos #followthemoney

There are more museums in the US than McDonalds. #boycott … then visit a museum!

This is what integrity looks like. 💪

Among other things, we are here to urge Congress to protect legally awarded funding, which is critical to museums. #MuseumsAdvocacy2025

With overwhelming public support for museums, lawmakers have a responsibility to invest in these vital institutions. Continued funding and policy support will ensure museums remain accessible, innovative, and impactful for all Americans. - AAM President and CEO Marilyn Jackson #MuseumsAdvocacy2025

Re: federal funding “freeze” or “pause”… we need to call it what it is. It is an ILLEGAL WITHHOLDING OF FEDERAL FUNDING. Existing federal grant contracts have been approved and authorized by Congress. #museumsadvocacyday #dontflunkthefuture
