Yes! Unbelievable! But he wants to cut out school programs for hungry children. If he would forego just one day of playing golf it could feed a lot of hungry children.

It is unreal! That anyone would want to deprive a child of food tells you all you need to know about what kind of person they are. So much good could be done with the money spent on his selfish golfing. Then there's the lack of taxes billionaires pay...

Great idea; if people are able to stock up as much as they can, & then spend as little as possible, I think it would send a bigger message. I think some of the numbers that came out around the holidays as for how much people were spending was as much that - they were stocking up & replacing things.

@markhamillofficial.bsky.social is the best, we are lucky to have him!

That would be great, but they seem to have lost their way and only want to cater to the ultra-wealthy. I think as more of us take a stand, though, they may start to understand.

Plus, the ~18 million for SuperBowl, and however much his Nascar stint cost us.

We stocked up on practically everything a couple of months ago, and now we stick to grabbing only the basics (almond milk, etc.). The plan is little to no spending for the foreseeable future. I agree that one day won't be enough to put a dent in the markets.

He makes my blood boil... and I don't know what angers me more - him, or the fact his base laps this up.

I haven't watched those yet, but they do look intriguing. How are you doing today? I know the past couple of days have been really hard.

Self care is so important and easy to lose sight of right now. I used to meditate daily, I need to get back to it.

Very much so. The small few that would be at least somewhat reasonable and rational, that would have meaningful discussions, have all lost their spines and have chosen to bow before their "king."

And since most private insurance plans follow what Medicare does, they will likely end covering telehealth visits as well. We also rely heavily on these types of appointments, as do many Americans.

He needed to go a long while back. I would love to see him at least be a thorn in trump's side while he is still in office, though.

General Brown is beyond highly qualified. trump fired him purely based on race. What trump and hegseth are currently doing with the military is disgraceful.

I think those are the people who played a heavy hand in why we're in this mess now. They are the roughly 1/3 who didn't vote because they're oblivious to what is going on.
