I'm working on mentally reconciling my want to be more vulnerable with the trauma of my past. I've spent so many years holding back my deepest thoughts from the people I care about. I regret the time lost, but also am looking forward to trying again.

Stop advocating for trans people by referring to us as canaries in the coal mine. The whole point of the canary is that it's an acceptable sacrifice to protect the people who actually matter. We are not a *warning sign*. We are real people. Our lives and rights matter in and of themselves.
