So today appears to be the day that the BBC wakes up to the fact things are seriously Not Normal in US/RU politics. Took a while, didn't it...

@carolecadwalla.bsky.social @peterjukes.bsky.social this makes insane reading: www.reddit.com/r/fednews/ - unsecured email servers, machinations against US federal workers...

Use your critical thinking skills, folks, and don't fall for the propaganda.

You can watch the Trump administration play DEI whac-a-mole with employee policies and public websites on GitHub, which is automatically cataloguing all of the changes the 18F agency is frantically making to its internal and external webpages: www.404media.co/github-is-sh...

This week’s Substack from @carolecadwalla.bsky.social is urgent & chilling - well worth your time. (Especially if you’re still giving money to the Guardian) open.substack.com/pub/broligar...

This is insane from the Democrats. Push Trump's TikTok ban and enact as the dying act of Biden's administration, leaving an open goal for Trump to a) take vast sums from TT and b) get the youth vote by "saving" it. Like WTAF. Do politics better

@carolecadwalla.bsky.social @peterjukes.bsky.social this may be of interest. journals.sagepub.com/doi/epub/10.... Dutch scholars Petter Törnberg and Juliana Chueri show disinformation is a specific tactic of far-right extremists rather than spread over the spectrum

An excellent, if terrifying read from @carolecadwalla.bsky.social broligarchy.substack.com/p/total-info...

3d printed a wireless Amiga style tank mouse! Used the Bambu wireless mouse maker kit (£3 from AliExpress) and a print file from Maker world. Is it ergonomic? No! Is it awesome? Yes!

Have a horrible feeling I might be cultivating the same horrorshow timeline I had on Twitter by following similar topics. Hey ho. At least the comments are less Far Right I guess for now...

And here it is. This is a scary scenario. Another country's government puts in control to stop an avalanche of nazi's, anti-vaxxers etc for "free speech" - gets hit with US trade tariffs. The mind boggles how bad this could be.

What Zuck via Trump has also said is that it's possible there will be trade tarrifs/sanctions against countries that try to limit "free speech" (ie amplifying Nazis, anti vaxxers and causing division) - which is a very scary thought.

This is a scary statistic but also a good example of how neoliberalism benefits from creating wedge issues and division in order to damage a country and divert power to fascism/corporate control. And that's a sentence that I feel sad writing as a few years ago it would have sounded like paranoia.

Not a surprise if you've been following this kind of thing for a while but an excellent explainer of what's happening to the UK right now
