I just use the short hyphen - but I memorized alt+0233 or é. Makes it so I can talk about Pokémon properly. I am also trying to learn alt 127875 which is supposed to be a jack-o-lantern 🎃, but keeps coming out â. I had to copy past the pumpkin from another app.

Most of the pics I posted to twitter were screen caps of text that exceeded the character limit, which I used to get around said limit. If I do that again here, the alt text wound be constrained by the very character limit I am trying to work around.

I know you're joking, but it does raise a more serious want of mine: transcripts for radio plays and podcast dramas. I'm not talking about when podcasts get into flame wars, but the podcasts that tell stories the way radio plays used to, like the Frozen and ElfQuest ones that have come out recently.

Ah, I will take your word for that. I have never heard of satin stitch, but I have seen my mom do plenty of cross stitch, and I do long stitch myself - which I thought that resembled -, although all of my work has been on plastic canvas. I like making holders for things, like book covers.
