Moved from Texas to New England and although we get thunderstorms quite frequently in the summer they're the "three flashes of lightning, roll of thunder, 10 minutes of rain" kind. It's not the same thing as a good "fury of God" Texas storm at all.

I have a bad habit of doing that but a) I live in the middle of nowhere b) despite only being six years old it's a shitty truck that needs 7 grand of work on the engine so they'd be doing me a favor.

I had to put my 16 year old dog to sleep in September, 5 days before my Mum passed, and it cut every bit as deeply in its own way. I adopted a puppy in late November and it was the best thing for my mental health (though not the health of anything in our house vaguely chewable).
