I found a subtext in there, too: I'm slightly embarrassed to prefer TV over films, because snobbery says films are more erudite.

I know we're far beyond reason and all, but somehow I'm still slightly surprised to see posting "He was too cowardly to post it under his real name and he deleted it when he realized it was going to bite him" as, like, mitigating?

100%. I would have thought if they're hiring *you* it's because they want what you do. The most basic background research would tell them what you're about, that clearly you could never be a prop.

I'm so sorry they treated you that way, and that nothing's changed for the better since then.

Oh! I used to follow your blog, but hadn't connected the dots on here. Hello again! 🥳

I really loved it in the early days, and it made connecting with people who wanted to collab on things super easy and nice. I hope something akin to the original concept will be added to the fediverse!

I feel this. Sometimes I'll let it slip a detail I remember about someone and they'll be like "OMG why do you remember that? Are you obsessed with me?" And I'm not supposed to say "Dude, if I could reallocate that memory slot to something else I def would; this is not you being special."

The thing about this is … even if it’s a build-in for the AT protocol right now Bluesky is making decisions for moderation on *their instance*
They have the power to make moderation choices about their instance!!!!
