At what point would you say it's enough in shambles? Bc from where I'm standing...

This month I'm launching my second kickstarter! This time it's for a GMless hard sci-fi game that focuses on communication, cooperation, and discovery! www.kickstarter.com/projects/sti...

I'm working on a funny little ttrpg inspired by the Discworld witches books where you mostly cause problems for each other but then have to solve them. ethanharvey.itch.io/wool-of-bat

I'm not disparaging, I look back fondly on the fan subs! I've got a huge love for anyone putting so much effort into something they love just so they can share it with more people. It probably gave me the appreciation I have for ttrpg zines!

That's gorgeous! I've always wanted to visit Portugal, it looks like such a great break from the grey and glass western standard

Well this time-warped me. You mean they won't grow up watching fansubs (or sometimes, for extra hilarity, fandubs) that either add in huge context boxes that explain the jokes or outright leave some Japanese words in as a flex that they know some language?

If you've made it this far, here's a picture of the real me! You should follow me if you hate capitalism or fascists, love dreaming of a better world and how we get there, random history, and cool TTRPGs and board games by talented and incredible people (also mine too occasionally).

I'm a dog-dad to my favourite fox-sea sponge cross, who is simultaneously incredibly smart and can practically understand English, and also terminally idiotic and unaware that THE HEATER WILL SET YOU ON FIRE IF YOU SIT ON IT! I love him. He loves his ball, and also sometimes me.

When I'm not making or playing games (pretty rare, honestly) I'll be reading the weirdest sci-fi I can find (Mieville my beloved, you truly warped my taste in books), listening to post-rock, punk, synthwave, or anything with horn melodies, and learning about obscure subjects and historical moments!

Who am I? I'm the project lead at @sdrgames.bsky.social, an AuDHD multi-disciplinary creator who's games all wind up being anti-capitalist. Even if I really try! So it's not surprising that I'm also a grass-roots solarpunk anarchist who loves how games create community and shared experiences.

I wouldn't be surprised, those doing the real thing recognise the importance of community, and inter-reliance is more powerful than any prepper. Hence the horizontal group attainment reference! :)

The worst part is it isn't the tech that's the problem, it's the application thru capitalism. Electricity is amazing, the impacts of oil and gas are not. Modern meds are amazing, corporatised health is not. Worldwide instant comms, wow! But media dominance literally brainwashes. Why is it hard :(

Even the self reliance aspect is a bad actor push, though. Horizontal group reliance is easier to attain than any other method, but self reliance says "I don't want to consider your difficulties, because thinking about anyone other than myself is hard for me" The problem's not tech, it's capitalism

Pompoko is the sneaky version of this. It lures you in with cute and funny and then puts on the "natural world vs humanity" knuckle dusters behind its back

The heady combo of stress and relief at once? I'd have cried 😂 but I love how similar it is to our own upcoming setting art piece, despite yours being clearly far future. Those Solarpunk vibes really do just hit that "nature-balanced world" spot and I love it!

Wow, this is gorgeous! And definitely gives a fantastic peek into your setting. You must be very proud!

Aw, well we wouldn't have been able to get this far without you <3

This was so fun to make, I really can't wait to hear how folks find it! My contribution was almost entirely Christmas puns but it was an essential element damn it
