Oh, yeah, totally. It’s like they get that it’s a “thing” and they’re trying to be… hip? But they don’t get what it really is or WHY, which is pretty on-brand for the GOP in general but particularly for MAGA. There’s such insecurity about being “cool” in everything they do.

Like, ASMR is generally a really gentle space. People are like “ASMR tour of my garden” “ASMR positive affirmations”, “ASMR brushing your hair”. Kindness and comfort. This is a disgusting perversion of what ASMR actually is.

It’s amazing to me… I just read a stunningly beautiful piece in the New Yorker about this, and I thought… if it goes against the doctrine of a culture of life, why aren’t more Christian people being LOUD about this?! I appreciate those who do speak out. 🩷

I mean, it’s sort of classic projection, too, right? Their guy couldn’t POSSIBLY, so it’s actually THESE people, because… (insert wild conspiracy theory here)

(3) Not a single Democratic vote on the big House budget bill unless/until Musk and his goons are gone.
That's it. That's what I expect. Not because I think it's the best strategy for positioning themselves for the midterms, but because *they took an oath to protect the Constitution*
