Kids will destroy every bit of your pride - and then want you to make sure there’s no monsters under their beds. The whiplash is real.

@patmcafeeshow.bsky.social, when are you planning on making this right? Why did you talk about someone’s daughter this way?

Save your money. They get expensive again quickly. (Sports, car insurance, etc)

Car payment?
Gas?
Insurance?
Medical costs?
Like, be serious.

I think it’s one of the tests they do when they draw 561 vials of blood at your first visit. But, it might just be rubella, cause German measles are BAD for baby in utero.

When you have a larger than average family (4 kids), vacation rentals are necessary for anything longer than an overnight stay. Otherwise, it’s two hotel rooms, and the cost to eat out is prohibitive. I appreciate having the choice.

Typical cat - what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is mine too. Until I tire of it.

I may have fallen asleep during an extended prayer one Sunday. 🤣

I’m overly cautious. I report every unusual email as phishing. Someone in the cybersecurity office in my district hates me. 🤣🤣
I also do the same thing on the yearly ethics quiz. Everything’s an ethics violation. 😀

I have a student who has over 40 tardies (on top of her 15 absences), and her mom just can’t understand why she’s struggling with reading. Well, ma’am, your child has missed her reading intervention time 55 of the 100 days they’ve met.

I think kids GAIN energy from being outside. 😂

My class has recess that ends a full hour before dismissal starts, and the line is usually 10-15 deep when we’re coming in.

Mute is great. They just keep shouting into the void, but you keep your peace.

Went to Canada quite a bit as a kid (when you got through the border with a couple of questions and a smile), but paying bills has trumped taking foreign trips since we had kids. Doesn’t mean I’m not well read and informed.

Ugh!!! Why do they not use current classroom teachers? If you haven’t taught in five years, there’s no way you have any concept of what it’s like now.

The Georgia Aquarium is unlike any place I’ve ever been. The Ocean’s Journey window is worth the price of admission.
We’ve only been to the zoo once, and that was when they had the pandas.
Any hotel in The Battery would put you probably within walking distance of the ballpark.

It was a cheer comp weekend with a 5:30 am alarm, so it was definitely “shock and awe.” It’s 8:51, and I’m ready for bed. 😂

There’s also a narrative floating that the tariffs are just a way to manipulate the stock market, which I’m beginning to believe. Trump is pretty stupid, but the one thing he’s smart at is cheating the system to make him richer.

I’d get them all now. You can always booster before kindergarten. I need to get my shingles because I do not need THAT just because RFK jr is a moron.

People are just talking in that echo chamber. Eventually, it will implode upon itself as they eat each other.

Good luck finding anyone to teach SPED, or EL, or even gifted (cause if you’re at the top, there’s not much room to grow).

A party that’s so pro-life, they shrug when a child dies of a preventable disease.

I keep thinking we’ll reach a tipping point, but cognitive dissonance is REAL in some people.

I would copy and paste the contents of five emails he sent this week. Especially anything with an excessively long email chain. Cram that inbox so full it explodes.

Besides teaching in THIS, you’re also trying to raise some small humans, and that’s exhausting too. I don’t know if THIS will get better, but they will get more independent and give you more time to recharge.
Sending positive thoughts for rest your way.

Well, I’m sure renaming the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America and Ft Liberty back to Ft Bragg will definitely help.
