Evolution is wild and is just an example that if you make enough wrong turns but keep going you WILL get there. Even if you have no sense of direction and never knew where “there” would be. The whole upright spine thing is such a fail… but it keeps one end away from the other. Which is nice.

Honestly the first bag I bought I thought it was corn, based didn’t even check just thought “fun! corn nuggets”…

I’ve had that Quorn stuff. And while I’d rather have meat OR actual mushrooms, I was not upset about it. And if I was told it is meat, I’d have been fooled. Well, poultry…

Also a new meat based on some products at my local store and some pretty fun guys. Versatile AF.

This exists!! Kind of as a solo game. You have an old military mech and must canivalize it to work your farm whilst trying to stay prepared for an invasion. To eat or to be safe. Rural capitalism.

I feel like mythic bastion land is begging for an Uber queer supplement

Oh the privilege of mediocrity. Each of my campaigns is like 5-10 pages on a paper notebook (and like endless poorly connected rooms in my brain)

I am in Vermont, grew up bouncing around different boroughs in NYC, I am SO invested!

As a person not working in any kind of ed. This is also deeply upsetting to me.

I just assumed it was a robin williams situation. With the one guy making voices.

There is no ethical consumption under capitalism and you need to both survive and have some joy in life to fight back. Keep your moral compass nearby and make the sacrifices you need to in order to keep going.

I am not great at enjoying them but I am SO pumped for the balsam lake unmurders.

2/ use to speed up or slow down pace in whatever system you are running at the time. As some systems have mechanics in place that already work wonders. E.g. you have a series of things to reveal or clocks to advance or side characters to 💀.

What I have learned over time is that as much as I want pacing to be a mechanical/hard skill. It is much more a soft skill, good pace is diff on each group. For what is worth, I think you are good at it don’t get in your head. What might be useful is to have a clear idea of what tools you will 1/

The way that a massive blister critters box at my doorstep surprised the shit out of me was intense. It’s hard to match that feeling like the universe suddenly loves you.
comment in response to post
There is not enough time in the world. People need to stop making so much awesome shit.

Here is MY advice, make sure to keep your address up to date. Beyond that, just forget the project exists. Space out your backings but keep backing things every year. You’ll get into a rhythm of lovely surprises blowing your mind from time to time. Think of it as sending your future self surprises.

I am just jealous of people who are into it period. It isn’t my vibe but the quality, love and support from the creator, and sheer value of that box set is wild. Yochai knocked it out of the park with that thing.

Dc, you have a themed wedding you open the floodgates for anything within the theme. She’s lucky you didn’t go as Gaston and hard flirt with her the whole time.

Will there be a recording?

I will buy an incomplete game that runs on vibes of its good and advertised as such. It is the disconnect between what is being sold and what I am buying that can drive me up the walls and put me off an author/publisher.

“Min-maxing” is a symptom of playing the wrong system for the group and/or a mismatch in players desired playstyle. As always, just fucking talk it over people…. Do we need to require therapy before people are allowed to play games?
comment in response to post
I am so busy tonight but otherwise would start making new accounts just to like this post more!!!!
comment in response to post
Ultimately nothing a player can do can derail “my” campaign. But that may not be how other players feel and unfortunately not all players know they can just talk about how they feel about the campaign. Session debriefs help though.
comment in response to post
If the players are ALL on the same page I agree. But it isn’t always the case and these conversations should be had before it becomes an issue.

Oh I think “damn, my mediocrity goes a long way in this hobby” you ain’t gotta be great. If you love it and pour that love into it, it all kind of comes together.

Same, love it when it happens. Oh the internet is pre cleaned for me today.

Same, oh you missed your osr skill test by a bit. Here’s your success with a complication….

I really like to experience games as intended as well. But often add or carry extra mechanics from game to game. They can take my paint the scene from my cold dead hands.

I don’t live in Canada so I only ever get travel trash. Chips mostly tbh. They’ve never let me wanting. But I’ve had other things at family homes and it’s perfectly fine, which is honestly all I ever expect out of packaged food.

I love the no name brand. Both in concept and in practice.

Folks really love deferring the responsibility of choice (and morality)… makes our world really vulnerable to this kind of nonsense.
