The gundam ex is a pretty good build; strongly recc grabbing the g rework decals for it. They're what i used and they look great!

I also believe that if a kit has stupid wings or stupid over the top effects i need it. Also the rfv gundam looks so fucking goddamn dumb and not like anything from the UC that i knew i needed it. For months i was talking about the ugly gundam to my wife.

My philosophy as someone who primarily knows gundam from the model kits, i saw gquuux and went "this thing looks like nothing on my shelf, i simply must have it." Every other kit from the line is also amazing looking; the red gundam and its bits looks so fucking good, and the police zaku is amazing.

While i love the rfv design (so ugly, so much detail) i wish it was closer to the original design. Glad the gquuux gundam exists to sorta bridge the gap.

Its honestly probably just the case that the original rx-78 was drawn in 1979 and now there's nearly 50 years of advancement in animation, some of which involves computers, allowing for more nuance and detail. The rfv gundam had a ton of detail and the gquuux rx-78 has more detail than yhe original.
