Don't forget to find local groups at your library (both DC and the Bronx) to also learn more tips/tricks from local crafters! I joined a group and got so many links to patterns that I've now purchased and started making!

Not gonna lie there's a few times where I just put Stephen West videos on in the background for chill vibes. One time my Bluetooth on my phone connected to my car and played it and it spooked me ๐Ÿ˜‚

US here. In addition to what others have said regarding storage, some local LYS will offer to wind your skein for you for a nominal fee (like max of 5 bucks a skein). I generally leave them in a skein though bc it's neater for me in my cubbies.

Welcome! Met you all last week at the Wayland festival. You are very close to me. Make sure to use ๐Ÿงถ emoji if you want to get picked up by the knitting feeds!

#showmeyourknits this is my only cabling for now and it's currently on hibernate! It will eventually be a cable pullover sweater and my first sweater! I should have a FO soon though as the shawl I'm working on is about to cable. Very excited! ๐Ÿงถ

So anyways, if you want to learn how to knit ๐Ÿงถ, highly recommend seeing if your local library has something!

This all started because myself and a couple other commented on a knitting club post on Facebook about how the library only offered stuff during the day. And someone else answered the call and volunteered to set one at night. I'm so grateful that I accidentally found myself in this new community.

Yeah having both as a learner craft has led to so many projects for me. You're smart to keep just one art for now!

I have done this blanket 3 times this past year because my friends are in that part of our lives! Super fun and easy to do! I was only a few months into knitting when I started casting these on ravel.me/leafy-baby-b...

They literally thrust him into the position unprepared it's kinda bullshit to not give him another chance. They did him dirty.

Fellow lefty - why do they care which way you knit? Seems bizarre. I know nothing about the guilds for reference

Imo the success of a senior engineer the ability to mentor and continue to be mentored. As well as a willingness to continue to learn. This simple approach has created success at many orgs I've worked in.

People look at costs of things when they're evaluating new technologies. But if you're expecting a junior engineer to do that before becoming a senior or even mid level you're out of your mind. There is no way a junior should be expected to do that in any type of organization.

Yeah they've got some pretty wild takes here just aren't grounded in reality.

Oof they didn't take too well to being hit from kindness and blocked me. Hope they figure out what's bothering them so much about a tiny, inconsequential opinion.

You're the one calling people an idiot for not much reason. I'd say you're the troll. I just haven't finished setting up my profile yet. You seem like you have some things to work through if this is making you so upset. Hope your bad day gets better โค๏ธ
