Must be an epidemic. Poured the last of a carton of lovely regular half-and-half into my husband’s coffee, only discover the new carton from yesterday’s grocery order was stupid fat free. It barely even changed the color of my coffee. #MorningRage #PointlessCloudyWater

Yes! Have also made calculated changes in my retail habits/subscriptions prior to this. Doesn’t feel like a lot on its own, but it is something I can do in support of my own conscience at this point.

Because finding fraud—or even just basic weaknesses in a large or complex system—is actual work that requires a ton of time, thought, asking questions, AND listening to the answers. They’re not interested in any of that.

I’ve experienced the heartbreak and anger of follow-ups where you realize that what’s happening to you is clearly no longer clinically “interesting” enough for your doctor to pursue any further and they’re just going to blame your gender, anxiety, weight, or whatever else gets you out the door.

It’s somehow so much worse because they are so terrible at this. They have no clue about the systems, security, or people they’re dealing with, and just smashing through like Baby Huey with a big blunt hammer.

Because they know all they have to do is keep saying it, confident that a ridiculous percentage of people will parrot it back and never check their homework on it—or pretty much anything else.

The fact that simple visuals make them so uncomfortable that they make so much time in their otherwise rushed moves to remove/cover them is such a tell.
