Israel abiding by international law for starters.

But the slaughter of 52000 people doesn't bother you. The starvation of children doesn't bother you.

The western world can no longer lecture anybody on human rights. The horror, the horror.

These words are from Elad Barashi - an Israeli media figure affiliated with Hebrew Channel 14. This twitter post (a few excerpts translated here from original Hebrew) is an extreme and explicit call for genocide, invoking the Holocaust as a desired model for violence against Palestinians in Gaza.

That's what's happening. It is genocide. And Israel has openly said they'll take all of Gaza. Ethnic cleansing. Fuck Israel, the USA, the UK, the EU, the entire western world - fuck all of them into the deepest pit of hell. They are all guilty.

It's a war on art and literature. Barbarism.

Yes, agree. This is a book I must read.

Trump is, quite literally as far as I am concerned, Satan incarnate. This regime's entire agenda is breaking things, annihilating government, waging war on culture, betraying agreements with other countries. Just evil. It is sociopathic fascism. These monsters must be defeated.

Just got her Collected Works, so many beautiful poems.

He is Satan. The US needs to get rid of him sooner rather than later.

The Reform victory is a serious warning. They are hoovering up alienated voters, like Trump did. Labour cutting supports to pensioners doesn't help. Not too happy about this, where a Labour MP says 'take a leaf out of President Trump’s book'. Where is the party of Nye Bevan and Clement Attlee?

Alas, Reform are on the rise in the UK, and Farage is a Trumpist to the bone. I hope you're right, but I'm still worried about a lot of countries.

Nice one!

Yes, it is 1936. That's more or less where we're at. Alas.

Just read it, marvellous stuff.

Alas, the UK is heading towards Trumpism, with the huge gains made by Reform in local elections and by-election. Canada is a light.

I'm tempted to add that it is high time Americans disabused themselves of the idea that the US is the 'greatest'. The world is tired of this arrogance. Trump is this arrogance on steroids. But, yes, he is wrecking anything that is good in the US, waging war on government itself, on education itself.

The current national share estimate puts Reform on 32% - with Labour down to 19% and the Conservatives on 18%. Another way of looking at it.

This is on Starmer. Nye Bevan is turning in his grave. Labour needs to be a party of the people. Wake up time. Don't make the same mistake the Democrats made in the US.
comment in response to post
Starmer is the worst leader Labour has ever had, an empty vessel. Nye Bevan is turning in his grave. Labour is out of touch with its working-class base, making the same mistakes the Democrats made in the USA.

Oh, a dog whistle to violence from a woman who endlessly sows division, and is fuelled by hatred.

Yes, have just read some on website dedicated to her - right up my street! Beautiful condensed sparseness.

These epitaphs are great, and I'd never heard of Niedecker, just checked out her poetry and have ordered her collected work. So, thanks!

Stop underestimating the danger....he is far from fucked. He has power, and Project 2025 is well under way. And the Dems are still asleep at the wheel.

It's not 'external', it's just another tax paid by American citizens.
