Incredible journalism.

Scoop: The databases powering DOGE.gov are insecure, and people outside the government have already pushed their own updates to the site to prove it: www.404media.co/anyone-can-p...

This is the 23 year old who currently has access to the entire Treasury payment system, by the way.

Opinion | No one could’ve predicted that Trump would do this

You know who believes in climate change...house insurance companies

“Will pay any amount.” Feels like one of those futile pleas we’re going to hear from wealthy people more and more in the era of climate change.

Never in my career have I seen such a giant gulf between What Companies Think Is the Most Important Thing in the World and What Normal People Have Absolutely Any Interest in Whatsoever

please stop suggesting I solve my problem by changing my behavior. I do not want to do that

I fucking hate what the Blues Brothers have done to the minds of our nation`s finest young army men.

sesame street isn't supposed to make money. the post office isn't supposed to make money. not everything is supposed to MAKE MONEY

We wanted to understand what’s going on in South Korea. So we talked to three Joe Rogan listeners at an Arby’s in Harrisburg

1. The implicit deal behind Starmerism was this: you might not like what he stands for (or fails to stand for), but at least he knows how to win elections. If you want the Tories out, he’s your only hope. But now? It’s as if he’s going out of his way to lose in 2029. 🧵

I feel seen

"Bluesky banned me for my free speech"

It should really be called The Day of the Jacket

We're about a decade in to this weird narrative where apparently centrists will always be driven right by us on the left but are somehow magically never driven left by the far-right.

The thing about Twitter versus Bluesky is that the right needs liberals on Twitter to make it feel worthwhile, whereas the left doesn’t need conservatives on Bluesky to make it feel worthwhile.

I really don’t understand this whole ‘stay on Twitter and fight’ thing. You’re jousting with bots and reply guys and wading through ads it’s not Waterloo.

Damn.

Beats the hell out of ‘skeets’

I had the woods to myself this afternoon.

Why does it feel so mind blowing when I open this app and find myself on the same spot in my feed where I left it? It’s 2024. I suppose that’s what years of being gaslighted by The Bad App will do to you.

btw this is what made me go "got to make more of an effort on BlueSky".

cashier: can take your order? me: [spent the entire time in line rehearsing for this moment] yes, one pleaseburger cheese :)

The recipe for a good social media app isn't hard if you understand that people simply yearn to read and write sentences without angry guys yelling slurs at them

Is this the place where I can safely waste my time without being constantly reminded that society is quickly sliding into idiocracy? That would be nice
