Definitely what happens in our garden……usually we’ve got birds queuing for the feeders; we see woodpeckers, small birds of various breeds, pigeons (wood and others), jays and thrushes, when it gets to the BBBC? A couple of sparrows and a blue tit if we’re lucky - I think they see the memo 🤷‍♀️

She sounds wonderful. I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend and the hole she will leave in your church family 🙏

Thanks for the recommendation; I really enjoyed it. (I think partly as the Joan Hickson production was very true to the original. Usually when I watch/ read I spend my time spotting the differences). Any other suggestions for me?

Love the cover; I’ve seen all the David Suchet and Joan Hickson TV characterisations of Poirot and Miss Marple but have read very few of the books. Watching ‘Hercule Poirot’s Christmas’ is one thing I always do in the run up to Christmas so perhaps I should try reading it this year.

Years ago the church I attended had an older chap as Treasurer who always wore a 3 piece suit, bow tie and had a tale or jokes woven through the financial story. It was always factual but also fun - often the best part of the annual meeting.

I absolutely do not doubt your lived experience and I can’t imagine the anxiety dealing with this constantly must produce. I cannot understand how in 2024 businesses (and healthcare providers) still get this so wrong; even as a child I recall seeing ‘guide dog’ signs in shops and I’m in my 50’s.

The ‘r’ word is a hugely offensive word, once used widely in medical terminology it’s not any longer for good reason. You may disagree with the person you’re responding to but use of a slur to do so is a low move. Be better.
