Ah! Yes, that’s likely the case. I distinctly remember it saying a disease “linked to rodents” and I immediately thought hantavirus, but it was weird that it wasn’t just in the headline. You’re probably right about the story being updated once it was made known.

It was either forbes or nyt that was linked in another thread but i can’t find the article again now 🤦🏽‍♀️ i do remember that hanta was finally mentioned ‘below the fold’

I’m surprised hantavirus was not in that list because i read an article about Gene Hackman where they seemed to be doing word loops to avoid saying hanta virus.

Any tips for potted plants that can help? I live in a setting that has done everything to eliminate plants around us, but I can put pots out and fill the 1st level shared grounds (as long as I don’t plant in-ground because the landscapers will just raze it). Grounds face south and get sun all day.

Same thing happened in 2008-2009 child care centers were almost empty leading to layoffs of staff already trying to survive on poverty wages. Roads were empty of landscapers and construction trucks that were usually first traffic in the morning, followed by daycare workers.

catch the paper. I was worried that if I left him overnight he would surely drown as the water would keep dripping and splashing him. So, using the paper square, I pulled him up by two limbs very gently and slowly. His body lifted, and then each limb, one by one dangled, soaked. Finally, I … 4/

leverage to get out of the sink. But he had not moved in the time that my meeting took. So, i decided to lift him out myself. He tried to attach to a square of tp that I now lowered to him, but only two limbs were free of the wet basin. He was either playing weak/dead or wasn’t strong enough to… 3/

I’ve been meaning to fix. I placed a cup to collect the water and to let him dry out while I attended a meeting on zoom. I forgot about him until I returned to brush my teeth. The cup was full and he was still there, unmoved. I had placed a few squares of tp there alongside him to give him … 2/

I can’t even stand the stupid xm radio thing that I am forced to cycle through to get from am to fm. (i refuse to subscribe to it, so it just sits there between am / xm /fm so everytime I switch I have to cycle through it 😡)
