Limone sul Garda. Left Munich before 8am, pouring with rain and gale force wind warning in effect. Crossed into Italy around 11am and it gradually got warmer and drier. Ice cream has been eaten. A swim has been had. A much needed break before the madness of June.

Christihimmelfahrtferien!!! (Yes this is one of my favourite compound nouns.) Our school has three days off so we're racking off to Italy tomorrow. Happily it doesn't coincide with the state school holidays so the traffic shouldn't be tooooo bad.

FDA Commissioner Marty Makary can fuck all the way off. A eats wholemeal bread and apples as her preferred snacks and that didn't stop her immune system from attacking the beta cells in her pancreas. Without insulin she will die. Painfully, probably within a week. Educate yourself!

Had my last lesson with my Abitur/Baccalaureate class today. Kept it together. We had the Lehrergrill this evening and it was SO nice. Chatting with young people, some of whom I've taught since 6th grade. Still a hard slog ahead of them with exams starting Monday. #EduSky
