I’m afraid until we get money out of politics musk will fund opposition candidates and gerrymandering will continue this farce.

This is so personal to me as someone who lives in a blue state with mail in ballots- but here the kicker, it helps rural and elderly voters the most who vote GOP

Exactly, families often only let the smart kids stay in school, with the hopes of them bettering their life.

We need to look at our own state constitution and strengthen if needed. Make sure local government is strong and supported. Look for places of weakness that the GOP can exploit

And don’t forget in the meantime we need to secure our local government

Could states pass their own laws on finance reform to at least get big money out of local elections? 19 states have citizen ballot measures, it seems like strengthening local elections would also be a good idea.

We need to pay attention to our local public officials, get involved and be aware of every motion or bill in your county/state. We need to look at ways to strengthen our state constitutions and codify rules to prevent yatzi from becoming more active in our communities.

After having listened to SCOTUS and Congress talk about TT it’s clear they have no fucking clue how any of it works, we seriously need younger representation. I would bet they have staff that Google for them.

My son and his college roommates are terrified of their student aid being canceled. They are afraid the science degrees they are getting will be useless, education majors are frantically switching to something else. They are not hopeful.

There are hard to find and chaotic, they don’t have any coherent flow. As the TT algorithm learns about your likes it’s a your favorite DJ who throws down the best tracks. Instead Shorts is like when you flip thru the radio searching for your station.
