I have witnessed white bosses treating black employees differently than their white counterparts. What boggles my mind is how much Democrats have left on the table when they had large majorities in congress. From codifying Roe v Wade to EEO, these should have been codified in law.
I have been spitting nails about this, but I also realized they were hindered by ultra slim majorities and turn coats like Manchin and Sinema who were bought off.
On multiple occasions from the 1970s to Obama's election in 2008, they had large majorities. Obama campaigned on codifying Roe into law and then once elected said it wasn't a priority. Because they use these issues to FUND RAISE.
Can’t believe I am saying this, but the private sector needs to lead by example. There are a lot of companies keeping their DEI initiatives. We need to reward them.

I am part of my company’s DEI Committee that we just got approval to begin work on in late 2023. All meetings have been removed from the calendar and I have a phone call (outside of work and on our personal cells) with the current chair to discuss and figure out where we go from here. Insane.
