Sadly journalism can be a risky profession, especially if you’re a good one (as she is in my opinion) and you want to find and share a story that many do not want to uncover or tell. Apparently, I still do not know if it’s confirmed, she was working on a piece on women’s condition in Iran.

She was doing her work, she is a journalist not a tourist.

People need free healthcare! It should be your right to go to the hospital and get treated no one should deny you anything when it comes to your health!

The current system is broken IMHO, and it needs to be revamped completely. We should aim to get rid of privatization and corporate profit from the healthcare system at all. Any step forward that direction is something I will embrace, I know there are more option available.

GM and Ford makes their car bigger despite they are more deadly because the people want a big A$$ car, you’re giving the customer what they want even if it’s bad for them. Insurance company denying a 55yo the chemo for a pre-existing condition is profiting out of people sickness. 2/2

I know this, I am aware that on top of a pick-up truck today you cannot see a child in front of you while you were able to see it in the ‘70s or ‘50s. I am 100% more lean to buy a small car than a pick-up, but the average American is not. This is still another conversation. 1/2

No offense, but that’s a stupid comparison. SUVs cause thousands of death because people drive while sleep deprived, on their phone, intoxicated or generally distracted. It’s the driver that causes the deaths. Insurance companies that denies lifesaving cure for profit is a totally different thing.

Maybe Medicare is terrible, but isn’t it a better solution than being forced to having expensive insurance and then be denied coverage for their profit?

Healthcare should be a right!
