Loved season 1 of this. Excited to check out season 2 now that it's out.

This movie was great. A truly creative, original, and delightful film. I laughed so hard, gasped a few times, and the hits were satisfying. Worth your time.

I think watching Bluey with my now 9 year old has made me a better parent.
Love that this show exists.

I don't know, however I think some of it can be attributed to Hedonic Adaptation. If you have little money, then more money does make you happier. After a certain point, that stops. Human brains struggle to adapt to that paradigm, so they keep chasing more.

My thoughts on the Brutalist after just watching it:
Beautiful shots, great acting, and more long movies should have intermission.

I know! That whole page was so insightful and aspirational. Loved it.
Small Gods was the first discworld novel I read, and I read Good Omens last year.

I always viewed arguments as a way to get to understanding and closer to truth.
I suspect that internet posts in online forums or on social media are less effective to that goal than a simple conversation.

I beat this in December before starting rebirth, and you probably have another 8 hours?
This game did wear on me in a few parts, but the payoffs are great.

Completely reasonable place to find oneself from time to time. Wishing you well as you move through a tough time.

Gets my wholehearted recommendation. My absolute favorite RPG and worth a replay. I used to play through it every year.

Me too! Been a long wait after the season 1 ending.

This is on my list after I finish VII rebirth.
Sidequests as a way of inflating runtime and killing pacing is disappointing.

Based on these, my recommendations to you that you might enjoy:
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi
The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman
My count for 2024 stood at 40 books, and I always need more recommendations.

But what, if any, book did you buy to read?

I appreciate this perspective. There is a balance somewhere between minimalism and consumerism. It is a difficult line to draw, but I personally respect the "does this spark joy?" idea from Marie Kondo for attempting to draw it.

A rare movie that you can watch without seeing the series and it still is amazing. (Though really, watch the series). Great pick!

I love it! Your cat looks like they got caught and tried four different takes on "Act normal" and bailed out of each one after two seconds.
